Tried this in VR tonight https://store.steampowered.com/app/513490/1943_Berlin_Blitz/

An original audio recording of a journalist who went up in a Lancaster bombing raid on Berlin and they've recreated highlights of that trip in Vr. Hell of an experience, its a few years old now but damn what a way to get a glimpse of what those blokes went through. Highly recommend, hope more are released.

It's an interesting argument that is hard to refute.
Perhaps, ordinary people are indifferent might be truer though.

I've only watched Part 1, but a must-see for any fans of The Sopranos. It's interesting to see who auditioned for the main roles.

Nut case, who is a violent criminal, robbed a bank, and shot at a supermarket employee. Carries a gun

This. There can be supposed justifications for those aiding and abetting him, but this guy isn't exactly an upstanding citizen himself...

And I only do that if I’m standing on the edge of a cliff. So I’m straight.

Is that why you are always standing in front of Cliff?

Well I'll be buggered. Wait. What?

    You'd push back for Cliff.
    And be buggered.

Why is it only today that I have learned of this fluffybunny:

Francisco Macías Nguema - Wikipedia Francisco Macías Nguema - Wikipedia

Stumbled on to a podcast called "Real Dictators". This ... err ... example shows up.

Apparently Macias existed within my awareness of international news growing up in the 70s and 80s, but for some reason didn't feature in news reports that made my consciousness...

Seems his successor/nephew Obiang remains El Presidente since he took over in 1982, and according to said podcast is the longest serving President if any Country in the world (Wiki says 2nd longest, but that nay be semantics arounp "pres", "head of state", "leader", etc). Regardless, seems he must be universally loved by the populace...

@Victor-Meldrew I only bought a new ride on about 18 months back, but at the time I had looked at some robo-mowers and they seem to have improved remarkably since, and pricing come down too.

I know a guy who has a prototype Husqvarna robomower, and Husqvarna are monitoring its perfomance in NZ conditions, particularly on kaikuya grass.

This is one I been looking at and will seriously consider in another year or so, is priced at about 5k NZD

Hi team, I've got a bit of an issue with our Android 9 TV no longer updating the Disney+ or Netflix apps, and as it is Android, we can't easily use Miracast to stream to it.
Does anyone have a recommendation of a Miracast app for iPhone / iPad? There are plenty of options but so far I can't find anything that looks good, so, asking...

Recently had the pleasure of listening to Mark Mathews speak, telling his story from big wave riding and getting on the red bull team and then adversity.

The way he speaks, telling us how he hates public speaking to his story, saw a bit of a dust storm rise up in the building we were in, made more impactful as I didn't know his story (hadn't googled him when i heard he was to speak)

I spoke to the MC after and he said Mark was terrified before he went on stage, yet when he was up there he looks as comfortable as anything.

We also had Ben Hamer a futurist speak, wasn't sure what to expect from him, but whatever I expected, he exceeded it, fascinating stuff, and he paints the picture more from the positive than the negative we see so often in the media.

On the original topic of the thread, WWE will be available in NZ via Netflix from 2025 although apparently PLEs (PPVs in old terms) are available now if logging in from NZ. Presumably that will be the end of the Network for the time being.
