Great result for KK tipping over Kamo, who tbh will struggle to retain the title without a decent 10 running the show, also had thier back up 9 yesterday too, so were always up against it.
That said KK are playing well, and have Sam Parkes at 9, who I think absolutely deserves a run at npc.
HIKA picked up a draw with HH, and was good to see Wellsford keep it reasonably competitive with a powerful Mid Northerm side, Wellsford had Rene Ranger playing at 6.
The KK win aside, no real surprises in other results.
Full game (70 mintues) at hooker for 2nd Grade. Lost 34-26 after I dropped short on the last lineout of the game and instead of snatching victory we conceded a try to give them an 8-point margin. Shit π Still, we put their scrum under pressure all day and started to finally crack them in the last quarter.
Came on with about 20 to go for First Grade - we had all the ball in the second half and the opposition were conceding penalties galore. There were about 3 scrums and they brought on a kid from their 2nd Grade and I got our best player behind me in the 2nd row. Two scrum penalties during that time and no comfortable ball for them.
I fucking hate playing against ex-schoolboys teams tho - the whooping and fucking carry on every time you make a mistake is like playing against 15 TJs
Playing pro Rugby and League and having a pro boxing bout scheduled ( unfortunately cancelled ) is very SBW so far but this guy has since become one of the best darts players in the world ! Knocked out in the quarters in Manchester but stillβ¦β¦.
A 1 camera set up would mean there will be no changing of camera angle mid-play, usually just as a player is running down the side line close to the try line. That really annoys me.

I think it was the NZ v SA game last year where they changed to the side line camera just as some was about to score, but all we could see was the back of the touch judge.
I went to watch the Hamilton BHS-Westlake BHS game, which was a Moascar Cup defence. This was a game of missed opportunities, from Hamilton in the 1st half, and both teams in the 2nd half. The team with the wind behind them spent more time in their own half. The last 10 mins became a grind and squeaky bum time when Westlake scored a late try out wide.
