I think Argentina checked out once the card was issued. Worst game of the WC I have seen so far.

    Scotland v Samoa?

Bit of a dud game in the end.

Argentina have sadly regressed since 2015 rather than kicking on.

Still more kicks by England with quality ball. I don't get that they are a threat, sorry.

Its been a gradual lack of interest - they certainly haven't threatened much.

They've been the disappointment of the RWC for me. I thought they'd stich up France and give England a run.

Me too. There was an Argentinian fan on here for a while really talking them up, had me hoping they'd knock over England and/or France but they've been a real dud. Way worse than previous RWCs.

Too many Friendlies between World Cups

@booboo Yes, I agree, Lavinini should pay the sanction. Hit him in the pocket. But not the people paying for it. Do you see the distinction?

I do. And think you're wrong.

Why should a thug have free reign on the field?

It's sport. As I have said sport is random.

Players make mistakes. And know there are consequences.

Way hey. Argies score. But still need 3 tries to win

Another problem with "hitting the player in the pocket" is that some players have much bigger pockets than others. Some players will feel a fine more than others, so the deterrent effect won't be the same for all players.

And when they don't kick, they score.

So you think Lavinini knowingly targeted Farrells head knowing the outcome?

I still think there is a difference between intentional foul play like eye gouging and a player making a poor judgement in the tackle.

You say players make mistakes, I agree these red cards are mistakes and that is the big issue, should a players mistake decide the outcome of the game?

    Yes.

Just as a poor intercept pass does.

    That's how sport works.

I hope England and France bash the shit out of each other. Skeen being the TMO will just add to the occasion. 🤣
