Doesn't make much sense to me to rest Taukieaho last week and then drop him all together this week.

Weber not available - rotated to ABXV.
Can't pick too many other holes. But could say that for any number of combos.

Re Aumua. I am to think he's had issues with throwing. Is that correct? Otherwise I'm happy for him to come on in the impact role that ST occupied last week.
-
But do you want to beat England on the back of a loss to Scotland?
-
@MiketheSnow you said that wont happen after the Scotland v Fiji game....

Aumua was excellent in the npc final. And mostly good throughout the npc. One off game was the Auckland semi

If Townsend swallows his pride and selects Russell who knows what could happen

Feel free to move this to Foster
Been thinking about this whole coaching conundrum
As far as I’m concerned you pick the best 23 available to you every match
You can tinker with who starts and who finishes but you want your best charges present and correct at every opportunity
But how do you blood new players I hear you ask?
Ardie Savea is the best No 8 in the world at the moment
If Sotutu is chosen ahead of him based on merit not rotation then Sotutu can rightfully feel he’s possibly the best No 8 in the world
He’s trained day in day out with the best in the world (Savea) and been chosen ahead of him
That’s all he needs to perform
Not 10 minutes at the end of a match that’s already won against a side who are already beaten

Alldritt is very close.

this is absolutely my opinion on "rotation" as well.
with the slight caveat that at times, the best 23 for a weekend might be slightly different to the weekend before depending on who we are playing, or the fatigue status of a player
Also, i don't think Savea is the best #8 in the world. Though he is the best A Savea in the world. And i have become comfortable with that. The coaches are just letting him roam around the field doing what he wants. He's not a 7, he's not an 8, he's not a 6. He just does shit. And that's pretty cool, because right now he is the difference maker in the pack. Build the other two loosies around him, and let him do his thing.

France have always had some of my favourite number 8s. Harinordiquay, Chabal, Picamoles……what a bunch of talented psychos.

Good point. He fired more shots than any of them.

@canefan for players like them it becomes more mental fatigue with the intensity levels rather than the physical side of it, in my opinion of course.
Don't the French players have over 30 matches per season?
In comparison we play just 14 games of Super Rugby each year, it's laughable.
