But a totally catchable one - not a fast spiral, just an inside ball at his shoulder (a little behind him). He was set for it and should have caught it - it’s at the 70 minute mark, go check it.
Disagree. Next to impossible to catch IMO
-
Tuipulotu does have a tendency to drop a few passes, but a couple in recent tests have been either really low or high. BBBR usually catches those regardless and we hardly react to the poor pass.
Certainly Tuipulotu can be a huge weapon off the bench with his ball-running but I expect S Barrett to be the bench lock when everyone is fit and available.

Watching replay and the Aaron Smith deliberate pass to offside defender was a terrible call.
That passing into a retreating player to milk a penalty is a slight problem in rugby but this instance the ball was actually going straight to Scott Barrett.
Referee premeditated that decision, not good.
Oh and obviously the camera work and lack of any decent replays was brought to you by Diversity and Equity Inc. Poor production from the place that used to be one of the best

After TRC my top backline is now:
TJP
Mo'unga
Rieko
ALB
Goodhue
BFA
BeaudenA Smith
DMac (Jordie next in line)
Laumape/Crotty/SBW - can't decide -

Huh?

On Frizzel, he's way too raw for test footy. He needs a season of (starting!) Super rugby under his belt.
Stupid selection when we have Akira, who has proven himself against the Lions no less, playing domestic footy at home.

Akira could be a factor in Japan. I'm not sure Frizzel will be ready
-
@no-quarter Yep. Can't understand it myself why Akira is not there. You would think that these coaches could bring out the best in him and he has mongrel in him.

Me being a SJW. Many of my SA friends and colleagues would relate that so much of SA regression is due to workplace quotas. I posit that the tv coverage was substandard compared to what used to come out of SA.
Few decent replays, dumb camera angles and miles of footage showing players standing around at stoppages

Aaron Smith turns 30 in November. Is that old for a halfback?
He looked old out there. De Klerk reminded me of how A Smith used to be, hurdling players to clear the ball, snappy passing, quick thinking etc.
Food for thought. Think this test has thrown up more questions than answers for RWC . -

Understand the lack of boof from Scott Barrett, but watch him in the last 15 mins and he was into everything, tackling, linking, pressure on kickers and a try. Pretty good actually
Was he 6 at that point with Tuipulotu on?
