@donsteppa I'm worried that he'll continue this two or three year run of constant injuries.
Don’t worry we have Ardie Savea. Oh hang on...

Nice that canes won but can't seeing them beat saders with or without a mere at stack.

Having said that. If I hadn't known Sam Cane and BBBR were playing I'd say WTF? They were invisible.I think you're (and others in this thread) over playing it - Cane was making a lot of tackles and BBBR carted the ball up lots - they didn't have their best games in the 2nd 40 but they're not as bad as is being made out. They're both a bit under done due to injury - I expect them to be firing for the RC.
Anyway, congrats to the Canes, I'll be rediscovering my old franchise roots for next weekend so make some space on the wagon.

Fuck off . If you didn’t stick around for the full horror of the Hammetuer era you don’t even get a cheap seat on the bandwagon.

My 2011 of going to every single match in the pouring rain (yes, every Canes home game that year was in rain, what was worse was that it was sunny each day too) at the Caketin and then having to listen to the Hammetuer blame everyone but himself on Radioive the next day should earn me a lifetime seat on the bandwagon.

No , you left us while we stuck by and watched the Hammetuer either waste talent or drive it away .
The door to the bandwagon is closed to you forever .Plus you’re from Hastings so you’ll probably try and flog the stereo anyway .

Chiefs have firm claim to being underdogs..
Don’t forget that the Canes ditched the Chiefs coach years ago. They did ditch him for the Hammetuer so it evens out a bit. But Canes are definitely favourites, home town advantage and they can't keep playing as shit as they have been so far. The Chiefs have played above themselves this year but the Canes should be a class above.
"Can't keep playing shit" is one of the more ludicrous reasons to think your team will win.
My college team has been shit all year. The good money is that they will continue to be shit, at least till next season. Teams playing badly don't, as a whole, suddenly find their mojo.
Unless you think the Hurricanes will go "how stupid of us. We should find our form now."It's It's probably under the bed.
If the Hurricanes win, it'll be Barrett magic, rather than suddenly getting good again.
How magic was Barrett....

Hey, don't hold it against me because I got out of an abusive relationship and you stayed a further three years.
Plus, I'm from Flaxmere, the bandwagon will be up on blocks in no time!

It’s ok, I’m from Manurewa, we can just “find” another one.
Seriously though? Now we are out of the running, I don’t give a rats who wins (as long as it isn’t the Tahs)
Pretty dumb comp when the second and third best teams play a one point game in the quarter finals though.

Having chewed over my disappointment, I'm hoping the bulk of the squad will return next season and will take some valuable learnings away from this season. We've bedded in Cooper, and he will continue to build the style and lay the foundation for next season and beyond,
I'm hoping the likes of Ta'avao, Karpik and Allardice return - plus Ardron who along with Ta'avao and Karl T James really surprised me. Alaimalo will have learned a lot I think, and our ABs just need to keep on keeping on. Keep the Faith Chiefs people! -
@mariner4life yeah well played the canes DMac was like an out of control bumble bee

I may be relying on some TSF game commentary for this one. Have just checked into a decent hotel in Switzerland with strong wifi but Sky UK are pretty good at the whack-a-mole game of blocking VPN IP addresses. Have a few lined up and hopefully one works but if not I may be calling on here.
Presume you switch off any Telecom link and location services if watching on 'phone?

They are getting smarter these days with apps that force you to have location services turned on.
Didn’t end up watching anyway as I forgot the extra hours time difference meant the game would eat into the day too much.
Will watch the recording at home. -

Well, I though t it would take positive magic from the Barretts. It instead took negative from the Chiefs halves.
But did the Canes suddenly start playing well, like you suggested? Or did they ride intercepts and dropped balls?
Still, I'm sure they can't keep playing this badly. No doubt they'll hit their straps and give the Crusaders a stern lesson.

@nepia Nope. It was sarcasm.
We need a sarcasm button like the spoiler eye.
I'd put it around 'Yes, BB's positive magic won the game for the Canes".
-
The Canes won as a result of repeated errors from Weber (in particular) and DMac in the first half undoing the good work of their forwards, and then the Canes pack actually putting in a very good effort in the 2nd 40.
