All Blacks vs England 2

We've kinda got a bomb squad now

Biggest concern is our inability to control half way. Our exits and ability to get into the opposition half has been a weakness for all ABs teams of recent years.
It baffles me that this remains the case when we have a 10 and 12 who both have cannons for their right legs. It's less about execution than it is about option taking.

Not sure why Ioane is being criticized. Defended well, and consistently got over the advantage line from shit ball.
The calls constantly come from people who have no idea how a centre should play. Dollars to donuts if he'd taken other options every time they complained they'd bitch about the predictable outcome too. Case in point when he made the good decision to hold the ball rather than shovel it to marked players in worse positions.
I thought his defence was outstanding.
Great, the modern day Justin Marshall. Pity the rest of the team has the skill to burn other teams when we can play with pace. If defence is what we want in that position, get another loose forward on.
At least Marshy had a running game...

Thanks England for a competitive series and well done Borthwick on fixing the abortion you inherited. If they keep improving (and they've got some very good talent in that team) they'll be a real threat in 27.
If we make the final in '27 I would not be surprised if they were our opponents.

I would be extremely surprised, mildly surprised if they make it past the quarters.

A long way ahead to be making predictions. Ever thought of writing for Ruck.com?

Usual terms. You write whatever shit you want, we don’t fact check and you get 50% of the per hit take. We get the ad revenue. Seem fair?

My first article will be on the definition of prediction.

That's an interesting take considering at one stage the handling errors were England 4, NZ 9 (just before NZ made another handling error). Think it was even before halftime?
You can't quote such statistics out of context. If we knock the ball on while trying a miracle play under advantage, I really don't care that it is an "error" to the bean counters.
We lost a lot of balls forward while trying to steal their ball at lineouts or rucks. Sure, those are "handling errors" because they result in scrums etc, but since we weren't winning the ball otherwise they are of no concern.
You watched the game, presumably. How many balls did we shell forward where we had possession and which resulted in an actual turnover? Because I don't recall it being many.

😂 I'm going to go with somewhere around at least 9+.
But nah didn't watch the game mate, you got me.
I just decided that statistics that don't suit my argument aren't valid, that's it.

Phew, I think I care more about Eden Park record than world cups. I was there for the try from the end of the world.
It’s funny , my first two test matches live were both losses at eden park ,
One to the Aussies and one to the frogs in the 70s
Wow AB's have only ever lost 13 games at EP and two of them were your first tests.
Cornelsens Test (worst defeat) and the Bastille Day loss.
We've only lost twice since that July in 79
First 20 of the second half on Saturday and I thought we were going to again.

he's right though. It's like missed tackles - if you get out, make effort and push the runner into another defender, you may get a 'missed tackle' but it stopped a line break. It's a good thing, not a bad thing.
Fair play to @Chester-Draws - he set out his thinking. Our handling seemed generally pretty good (from what I remember)

I'm actually reasonably happy after those 2 games. The side is going through a pretty massive transition phase and I think they're on the right track in terms of how they want to play and how effective that will be if executed correctly. The biggest concern by far is the lineout because the players farking that up should have enough experience. Hopefully they get that right.
In terms of the backs, the only thing that can be considered "settled" is a centre combo who have been together for 5 minutes. Raw as fůck.
Front row last year's first choice, but get what you're saying.

Yeah , they were the two tests , cornelson test 78 and the Jean Pierre Reves captained frogs in 79 .
If you have asked me about the eden park fortresses at the time I would have laughed , I was 0-2
