Agree with you that Robshaw takes a lot of unwarranted stick. I suspect the writer of this article has don more research on Shields, than actually watching him play.
Better hands, I don't think so but it is sure that Shields runs faster than Robshaw. The latter is a carthorse.

Isn't that at least partly because UEFA qualifying is now boring as fuck? Eastern Europe has balkanised into hundreds of crappy little countries, The Euros expanded so its almost impossible not to qualify. Still possible to not qualify for a World Cup though as a casualty of crappy little countries, Italy, Netherlands.
