Julian Savea is currently a 1/10 rating ... woeful
I’ve just switched the TV on to see him in beast mode creating that try.
Hopefully he keeps up that kind of form rather than the form you mentioned... -

J Savea is looking like that mate who fills in when you are short of numbers for a club cricket game. Can't bowl, can barely hold a bat and couldn't catch a beach ball.
Crazy the cliff he has fallen off from being the best winger in the world. Then that mate takes a screamer......but will probably drop the next 5 easy ones.

That wasn't easy to watch. Fark the Haguaraieieiees are crap. Canes not much better, despite a few flashes of brilliance. They'll get arse raped if they don't tighten that shit up.
Second half Savea was pretty damn good. More of that please. Ben May is a massive unit with no brain. Farking Neanderthal retard.
Early days, but I'm a wee bit worried about this season.

@rancid-schnitzel It's almost as if the Canes have taken over the "slow starter bug" from the Saders.

Maybe Chris Boyd is getting out just in time at his max value?

Maybe, but they always had 12 plus allblacks who were still in off-season mode.
There is 2016 to think about, which was a much worse start. Fingers crossed, but I'm not liking what I'm seeing so far.
@canefan
I really hope it won't be one of THOSE seasons. They suck the most. You just want the season to end, but then can look forward to the rebuilding process that in the Hammett years never ended and for the poor Blues has been going on for about a decade. Plumtree looks to be a top coach though, so we should be OK. -
Canes were awful in the first half. Luckily the Jaguares were even more awful.
Julian was terrible (1/10 performance) in the first half but came right in the 2nd. Ben lam looked good in the first but was quiet in the 2nd. Both Barrett's are class. Thank god we have them both. Laumape had another good game.
JGB was only on for 10 minutes but he looked class. I just hope he can obtain his excellent NPC form from last season. He's an aggressive powerful first and this aspect of his game needs to be developed. His one negative is a lack of speed but hopefully the team have worked on this. He did keep up with play well with the one line break.
Eves is not a starting prop. We need JTA back with Fidow as the impact TH (he has lost weight from last years NPC. And he lost weight for the NPC so is at a good weight now). And then either May or Smith can start with Eves as the impact LH. Otherise we will be smashed against the better scrummaging teams.
I'm hopeful next week as long as the scum can be sorted. This bench was good but Aumua is needed back

JGB looked class doing what exactly?
His line punting was embarrassing, final goal kick a shocker, not sure what he did in those ten minutes?
Jules should get his French phrase book out. One bullocking run does not make up for the shower of shit he was in the first half.
I thought Ardie looked very fit and sharp FWIW.
Hurricanes need to stop the Harlem Globetrotters game plan and try to play some solid rugby.
Hard to believe this team won the title 2 seasons back on what they showed out there today.

I never saw the game but based on what I saw at ITM cup last year JGB is a journeyman at best so far. Didn't stand out at all and often inhibited our backline

Didn't look very fit either. Looked like a pub player. IMHO West is the better sub.
