Great to see Razor is constantly looking to improve and isn't too stubborn.

Regardless of who is in the right , I love the ruthlessness.
This is what we have been lacking since 2015.
If It’s not working. Something has to change.
As I always say…
The crest on the front is bigger than any name on the back.
Now move Will Jordan to fullback post haste you floppy haired surf nonce.
Just gonna tag @Bones so he comes along and prepares to be outraged
@Machpants has it covered. When he's actually cemented himself as a wing that has vision outside himself then I'd be comfortable with him at fullback. Or against Fiji.

Unlike your best mate Foster who had changes forced upon him long after it was apparent from both player feedback and the fuckin results that his assistants sucked.

So Robertson sacked McDonald because of poor results and player feedback?
Has that been confirmed?
-
Refreshingly honest with dignity. You can't ask for any more than that.

Nope. When asked why, Razor preferred to focus on the fact that Leon was a top bloke, and that they just didn't click. Pretty classy response
-
I wonder if the AB performance during Argie test 1 was a major reason for this.

What???
I never said that.
I said Razor is being proactive, whereas Foster wasn't. -

I never said that.I never said you did. I simply asked if it had been confirmed that Robertson was actually or really being proactive and sacked McDonald for poor results and player feedback
I said Razor is being proactive, whereas Foster wasn't.
So has it been confirmed McDonald was sacked by Robertson? From what I've read it was a difference in approach, a mutual agreement to depart and nothing to do with poor results and player feedback - though happy to be corrected.
-
Two things I'm curious about this.
-
The timing. Why didn't MacDonald stay on until the end of the SA tour or the Rugby Championship?
-
We've only so far heard the NZR and Scott Robinson version of events. It would interesting to hear from Leon MacDonald himself about why he quit.

A guy at the pub said the same thing.

Genuinely a concern that the coaching group is falling apart after only 5 tests. They have worked together before and I would hope of known what was expected promised etc. Not sure this is what we were sold.
Are my eyes deceiving me or are you questioning the coaches?
Is it the status quo actually changing that makes you uncomfortable?
I questioning the fact that coaching group seems to be falling apart? Yes.
I genuinely thought before you put group together you kind of make sure you have same philosophy on coaching.
Seems if you read it I just actually agreeing with Razor, he f***ed up forming his team.
Interesting thing is I recall reading a Jason Holland interview where he said he left Crusaders because his and Razor had piliosophical differences in coaching. It was in Rugby News in last couple if years, said they were good mates but didn't work as a group. -
These coaches in the public eye earn every last penny IMO.
Pure speculative gossip, nothing more. -

Just throwing my two cents out there.
I remember Razor made a relevant point in the recent documentary how he and Leon approached the game differently, he was saying how he tends to look for 'what could go right' whereas Leon tends to look for 'what could go wrong'.
I think it comes down to their mindset. Razor is an optimist by nature and risk-taking individual while Leon's coaching and selections have always tended to be conservative and low-risk in nature - see his Blues tenure.
Leon is conventional and coaches more by the book while Razor is the opposite of that, he's more of an unshackled unorthodox free-spirited individual Lol.... maybe Razor is right into that new age stuff?
So Willy J to 15 instead of Beaudy or Perofeta.
Its going to be raining fucking tries to NZ with "Air Jordan" at the back.
Strap yourselves in, the positivity express is leaving the station. Choo Choooooooooo
