Especially since the 05 lineout was much stronger than this iteration
Razor alluded to the new locks for this test and exciting prospects.
Lord , Darry and Vaai are all tall like a row of poplars.
We might be pleasantly surprised about our lineout after this match. Something to watch to see how functions. -
@BerniesCorner I'm a bit dubious Vaai is the listed 2m.

All you should be thinking of is finally seeing a win in Wellington!!
C,mon mate, I -don't go to just watch my team win. Was at Irish test down there and loved it, even though we lost.
I had decided to give this one a miss anyway, as NPC started last night and Naki had home game, combined with we were meant to be going Europe in a few weeks.
But after Mrs accident I will now be around for Bledisloe test down there, so will decide if Wallabies excite me enough to go down. I pissed off we got no Bok tests, but will do one of those next year I hope where ever they played. -

That is taking hospitality a tad far!

not sold out yet? dont know if this has changed much since yesterday
Quite frankly, that’s shithouse and oh so provincial
too many games in Welly. And this isn't the attractive one. And yet places like the Tron don't get one ... I dno't get it. Spread them around FFS
It’s not like the ABs play at home 30 times a year
Poor
No it isn’t.
I know about 10 people that have been made redundant recently because they worked for Gvt agencies and have currently just got work or are still looking for work. Some of them are regular punters that would have gone to this test but have to prioritise their life situation. Wellington is a different market because most of the crowd that attend matches are bureaucrats.
NZRU should have given this test to Chch or Hamilton. I’ve been to every test in Wellington since 2010 and I’d rather prioritise the Aus test over the Argie test. It’s a no brainer.
If they wanted to sell out the Cake Tin twice they should have had one of the England tests here as it’s a bigger draw card, or lower the prices for Argentina.
-
@Toddy yeah the food isn’t as quality and the beer options are limited. I personally know the new CEO of Sky Stadium having worked with him in a previous role. Hopefully he can turn things around and make the Cake Tin an attractive place to visit again.

It’s ok, Beervana will be awesome
They shoulda made this an afternoon test at least. That might have helped matters slightly

That's not even close to true.

Beer options are always shit at home ABs matches as it's steinlager and nothing else
I gave up drinking at the stadium years ago. Expensive, macrolagers served from plastic bottles ... with long queues ... just not worth it.
-
Never been much of a fan of steinlager myself, seems to me there are better NZ beer options esp in Wgtn.

Well it is when you are talking about a lot of people close to the city. If you know how many people have lost their jobs throughout Wellington right now it’s definitely got some part to play in low ticket sales. That, and the fact that the average kiwi’s don’t have the money to fork out atm. I’m one person and I know about 10 people that have lost their job because of the cuts going on atm. I don’t think spending 80 odd dollars on an AB test is a priority right now. Even more when you factor in the extras.
Stupid by NZ Rugby to even consider having two tests here in one year with everything the way it is atm. Auckland’s fine because they have the population.

Does anyone ever make a decision to go to a game based on the beer and food on offer?
When we used to have big crowds all you could get was a hot dog and some shit beer from your region (Lion Red, DB etc).
That's all you would get at the local pub back then too though. Decent options at a fair price would make me go more often.
-
@Canes4life I'm not reading all that blah when it's completely not true that most people who attend matches in Welly are bureaucrats. That's absolute garbage.

Really? Personally I don't get that. I go to live rugby for rugby. If I want to good food and beer I'll go to restaurants and hipster brewery bars. But each to their own.
