LOL. Gives DMac a 9.5 and rates Dalton's efforts the same as Christie. Mark Tele’a – 8.5
Did I watch a different game?

They got this bit right
- Codie Taylor – 3
……and apparently Telea was 8.5 and B Barrett was 10 ?
No wonder journalists get paid peanuts.
Beaudy was motm, so high score for me. Telea, not so much
10 ? For someone who played less than half a match ?
Ridiculous.

I didn't say ten, just he should have the highest score, he wins it for us

Hats off England, they were the better team for 80% of the game, they can play!
Taking my AB glasses off, it was one hell of a contest.
Some serious issues for the AB’s to iron out though, obvious two being the lineout and the exit plays/kicks. Why do our kickers struggle to kick with any distance from inside our 22?
I seriously doubted how we were going to score any points when we were down by 4 and hadn’t been out of our own half for what seemed like a good 30-40 minutes.
I never wish an injury on anyone but the Ginger getting injured was the best thing to happen, it all changed from there. Ratima’s pass is sooo much crisper and faster. All of a sudden we were playing with a bit more space and freedom.
I don’t get the Telea hate on here. He’s not in vintage form, but his work rate is top notch, has the ability to beat defenders and he does some bloody good work cleaning up scrappy ball at the back and staying on his feet until he has support.
I feel we are missing someone up front who can break the line and get us some good go forward ball.

This is one of the most idiotic comments I have seen on this forum and that is in along history of idiotic comments.
No, no, no! I won't have that.
There was the suggestion that Carl Hayman should play 8, the suggestion that Izzy Dagg should play 10 and that Richie McCaw should be dropped, along with very many other idiotic comments.

Ok, he can have 7.5. Everyone else less than that.

@Chris That's the forecast according to the BBC for next Saturday.
Surprised it's not going to be warmer. https://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/5391811
Yeah I thought it might be hotter from what I remember being there a couple of years ago.

Well done AB's. What an arm wrestle. BB and Ratima really made a difference. Both teams cancelled each other out in so many areas. Lineout, midfield and loosies for example.
Our aerial skills were awful tonight. Really missing Sam Whitelock and Brodie. Thank goodness for Dmac and BB putting others into space! -

I would love to see the 40m sprint times of our outside backs. I have a feeling Telea is not actually that fast.
First half of Super Rugby he was quicker than the last six weeks. His form dipped before the finals, I suspect he has a niggle or something.
He’s not been great.

Thank you Ratima

Shining light from the night to be honest. I wonder how long it will take Razor to figure out he is clearly the n1 9 in the squad.

This is one of the most idiotic comments I have seen on this forum and that is in along history of idiotic comments.
Perofeta clearly screwed up, put himself under pressure and used his footwork to get out of it. It had nothing to do with the game plan, it was all skill execution and pressure. Plan A would have been to kick it.
I used it as an example us playing too much in our 22, and even our own half. Do you disagree we went out to run it?
It was a poor example as perofeta put himself under pressure.
We looked to counter attack if we had space more than we did last week. This was a counter to the rush defence, try to attack against a broken line. By and large it worked, if we had faster wingers it could have been very lucrative. Both wingers couldn’t take the outside breaks offered to them. Hence why I think Jordan comes back into this team on the wing very soon.
However, from static ball or if we were under pressure in our own half we kicked. Our kicking game was poor at times (particularly at the start of the 2nd half) and we should have have used Jordie Barrett more. As above, perofeta would have most likely kicked in that situation as there was limited opportunity if he gathered the ball cleanly and had time, luckily he did very well under extreme pressure.

Not sure why Ioane is being criticized. Defended well, and consistently got over the advantage line from shit ball.
He had a fucking good game considering what he was given. Couple of hard carries, some good defence as well.
Right before he got substituted he had two men outside him in space and didnt give the pass. A few minutes later DMac had a similar option, draw and pass with BB setting up Telea for try. Not saying that he gets dropped, but setting up his outsides and passing is his Achilles heal. Needs to be better at it. Coaches need to work on him.
Rewatch it. DMac was covered and also in the way preventing the pass to Jordie.

@antipodean said in All Blacks vs England 2:
So one series down and all the old problems are still apparent:
- An inability to exit.
- Aimless, uncontested kicking.
- No way around the rush defence.
- Our own defence is porous on the edges.
We played with very little prep time with an injured lock (PT) and prop (EdG) and winger (probably) and 2 or 3 rusty players (Savea and BB-although BB didn't look rusty in test 2 at all), some newbies, and still won both games, found clear weaknesses to improve, have a better idea of NH standard, and don't have many new injuries (TP and ?)
So that is good, in my book. They now though need to show improved cohesion, selection, organization, consistency, leadership, strategy and skills. So plenty to work on. -
Ratima, Roigard, Viljoen
Good options -
Is Jordan back soon enough? Caleb? Who else would you bring in if they aren't ready?
