@African-Monkey same, I’m confident the Canes can get up here but it will be close, especially if we get all our players back.

If we get players back like Lomax, Proctor and Delany (who hopefully can catch a ball after kick-off). And Cameron doesn't have yet another poor game. Likewise, IWL either doesn't start or starts (I would start Delany and Grant) and does more than just going through the motions.
At 1st my view is still the same. Barrett should be tried with Higgins at 2nd. But this is unlikely to happen so hope Cameron can finally find some form. Canes will never win it all with the limited first. Its too big a handicap

The Chief's haven't really fired agaisnt top competiton this season and strugged to put away the Rebel's last week. I'm not super confident, like last time the Cheifs played the Canes (and lost) unless D'Mac has a stormer on offense I can't really see the Chiefs taking this one.

Chiefs early favourites for this one at $1.60. They are at home, but haven't really fired this year. Time for a statement performance before the playoffs?
I would have it closer to 50/50
Although the Hurricanes have lost their other away games against top 4 sides - the Blues & Brumbies. You could stretch that and say they drew in regular time against the 5th placed Reds in Aussie too

@Duluth yeah but we also lost three key players just before kick-off against the Blues and nearly won so there is that to also take into account. Canes by 8 for me.
I love your optimism

@canefan that’s only a try. We did them in pretty comfortably in the end at Sky Stadium earlier in the year so I don’t think that scoreline is too unreasonable. If the Chiefs play well they could also very easily win so let’s just wait and see.

For sure. Just love the optimism

@canefan no point being pessimistic. I might well be wrong but I’m confident that the Canes team will be very hard to beat aslong as all our players are available. Should be a bloody good game.
No game against the Chiefs is easy. And the Chiefs at home even more so. But if we can put close to our best team out on the track we should feel confident of victory

You spelt "blind loyalty" wrong

Delany returns off the bench, Proctor starts but there is still no Lomax. Shields and Kirifi also rested in favour of Devan Flanders and TK Howden.
The two backlines for this game are top notch.
