He's about the same size (height and weight) as Ardie. So easily big enough for an 8.

edit Esp with Shields (1.94) and Lakai as 6 and 7

ALL rugby stats. Iose seems to have bulked up a lot. He's quite solid now

Brayden IOSE is a 25-year-old New Zealander rugby player standing at 1.88 m tall (6 ft 2 in) and weighing in at 105 kg (16 st 7.49 lb; 231.49 lb) , who currently plays for Hurricanes in New Zealand as back row.

Brad SHIELDS is a 33-year-old New Zealander rugby player standing at 1.94 m tall (6 ft 4 in) and weighing in at 111 kg (17 st 6.71 lb; 244.71 lb) , who currently plays for Hurricanes in New Zealand as back row.

    Bio
Ardie SAVEA is a 30-year-old New Zealander rugby player standing at 1.9 m tall (6 ft 3 in) and weighing in at 103 kg (16 st 3.08 lb; 227.08 lb) , who currently plays for Kobe Steel Kobelco Steelers in Japan as back row.

@ruggabee I saw Iose the other day in person and he’s very solid. Definitely bigger than when he first started out at the Canes. Extra size is doing him wonders this year because he hasn’t lost any of that pace.

@Canes4life apart from Roigard, and it's pretty close, Iose has been our best IMO. Certainly doing his best Ardie impression, save for maybe some on the ball turnovers.

@foobaNZ fair call, I’d go Ruben Love, he’s been superb this season and I hope he out plays Stevenson on Saturday.

A lot will be happy that that loose forward trio. I had thought that MSR would be in the 23.

That is the best back row for the Chiefs. Jacobsen plays similar to Cane so I think his best position is probably at 7. Finau and Sititi bring plenty of hard shoulders

I thought the tight 5 might decide this match

But it might be Cameron. He's had a few poor games and if he has another one it might be the killer for the Canes

I hope he performs. Then I can see what the Canes forwards are like. The real deal. Or not quite there yet. But Cameron needs to nail his clearing kicks. And not gift tries to the Chiefs etc. He was ordinary against the Blues but the Blues had bad luck with injuries

I'm really looking forward to this game. And hopefully the weather forecast is wrong.

@Winger don't forget Jordie wasn't playing against the Blues, he usually takes plenty of pressure off Cameron with his big clearances. However, with Roigard no longer there and Perenara's box kicking not up to the same standard, that will mean Cameron will need to take more responsibility in that area.

@Winger forecast looks horrible for tomorrow night. Could be bucketing down. I'm thinking of going but won't if it's a shambles.

Pretty crazy backline for the Hunters.

Good to see Jon Preston & Dane on the pine too.

@foobaNZ that backline is better than a few top teams in Super Rugby, great depth.

Tucker and Howden must be injured. Either that, or they've been called into the main side tomorrow night.
