Well yeah, but I do remember a lock from BOP, Waikato or some crap team like that running him down after he made a big break. He may have been injured ?
-

While we're talking about Fijian* wingers, one thing that shits me no end with Naholo is his tendency to carry the ball with one hand, and so too does Tamanivalu.

Â

It does my head in.

Â

*I know players of other ethnicity do it as well and they shit me too.
-

while we are getting cliched and stereotyped, Fijian wingers do have a lazy streak in them, none more so than Rupeni, always looked like he was in 3rd, dropped to 5th when he wanted but rarely seemed to need to, so didnt!
-

Problem with that stereotype is outside of Jane in the professional era there hasn't been an AB wing with a stronger work rate than Joe Roks.
-

As the famous Joker quote goes "why so serious" I am obviously trying to wind you guys up. Its way to easy. There is obviously not much going on in Chiefs land for you to take that bait.

Â

The gold of the Fern is that I'm never sure if people are truly winding or not. Â Even a smiley sometimes indicates a deeply held belief. Â I actually laughed at your comment, though, so well played.

ps - you realise I'm a Blues fan, sworn enemy of the title winning, cowbell banging dairy farmers who take our castoffs? Â And I'd still take Cane to start a test any day of the week, I just think he's got a game built for test rugby.
-

Dagg was strong too in 2010 on the wing - I would class both as fullbacks. Jane is obviously from a similar school but barely played FB in black. -

I wondered if Crofty and Fekitoa were in the wrong positions - something was drastically wrong.

Â

This was a point I raised earlier in the year when we were discussing the midfield options. I'd like to see Fekitoa tried at 2nd 5 because he has many of the same strengths as a ball carrier that a younger Nonu did. Fekitoa has been moved there by Joseph and does provide a direct runner to bend the defensive line closer to the ruck. The other bonus is that he wouldn't then have the same responsibility as the defensive general for the ABs. Just let him run hard and straight.
-

You think? I'd say Vidiri - power and pace.

Â

Sivi was a very good playmaker and was often used as a first receiver to create opportunities for others (e.g. Weepu's try vs Aust) through his ability to beat defenders in minimal space. That required some vision and game awareness, which Naholo lacks at the moment.
-

not saying it is correct, but obviously Sivi and Rupeni dont help it, despite thier obvious upsides on offence.
-

Get what you mean about sivis distribution, but I see similarities in their footwork -

Naholo looks to have a bit more power

I haven't read entire thread as on phone and gave up about 3/4 way but:

Naholo is an athlete not a rugby player
- Conrad = headless chooks
Shovelling the ball on without straightening the attack is something my coach (when I was tried to drill out of us. It's post Ma'a but someone still needs to take it to the line.
