I heard an interview with Foxy on radio and he was asked about Cane vs Savea ,

And he said( dont quote me word for word) something like , they both have plenty to offer in the 23 , Cane has more to offer at the start of a game and Savea has more to offer in the closing stages of a game at this stage we believe , that doesnt mean Ardie will never be seen as a starter , but for now , we think that role suits him .

That's the thing. Even if Ardie becomes a better player than Sam Cane, Ardie is still going to be the better bench player. Even if Ardie is slightly better than Cane, you could still start Cane because Ardie is so good off the bench. Of course, I expect the All Blacks to play both at the same time at some point.

Funny story he was saying his Girlfriends site is not the best so he grew his hair like that so she could spot him on the field.

Ur right though he needs to give his brother a pep talk. The bus has a few flat tyres at the moment.

Turns out Hansen, Smith and Fox are have all been swayed by the fern and are biased against the second coming of christ. What heathens! How dare they fail to recognise genius when they see it. I never knew they were making excuses to pick an inferior player, but the scales have fallen from my eyes.

I think we need Alex Fidow in there to shore up the scrum.

Marshall is a fucken moron. I really admired him as a player cos he got the most out of his abilities but if I initially thought his commentary sucked it pales in comparison to that horrific Phil Gould impersonation. Awful, awful, AWFUL. Nisbo was his usual dreary self.....

JK, Cully and Goldie were only a notch above with their bullshit afterwards......excellent players all four but fuck that made for bad TV. The latter two look older than JK as well !

ABs blew out a few cobwebs, shit that Beaden Barrett has some pace huh ? can't be genetic cos I remember his old man being an honest toiler rather than a speedster in his playing days but doesn't seem right that a skinny white bloke can move like that. Outstanding tackle on Wales best back George North too. Thank god I had Marshall to remind me that "that tackle had to be made".

Awesome seeing Ardie "House Party" Savea get on the field too. Exciting times in store for him, gotta imagine he'll get a start at some stage this series.

This Cane vs Savea thing is going to be hilarious.

I've got some good ones:

It's nice that Cane was able to captain the ABs at the world cup because now that Ardie is around he'll be lucky to make the team let alone captain it.

In fact it reminds me of Holah vs McCaw. 2 awesome players but one is just a step-up in class.

Looks like Cane will be fighting with Todd for that bench position.

Ardie has the X factor Cane is lacking.

He he.

JK is actually a very good pundit. He is more honest than the others and speaks in less cliches. Cullen, unfortunately, doesn't offer much insight.

For now they both fit in the 23 nicely ,

Ill throw a spanner in the works ,

It could be a while off yet , but the one guy that could end up making Cane a bit nervous about his position , may not be Savea , but could up being Blake Gibson ,

Keep an eye on that one over the coming seasons , future Allblack I reckon

While we're talking about Fijian* wingers, one thing that shits me no end with Naholo is his tendency to carry the ball with one hand, and so too does Tamanivalu.

It does my head in.

*I know players of other ethnicity do it as well and they shit me too.

while we are getting cliched and stereotyped, Fijian wingers do have a lazy streak in them, none more so than Rupeni, always looked like he was in 3rd, dropped to 5th when he wanted but rarely seemed to need to, so didnt!

Problem with that stereotype is outside of Jane in the professional era there hasn't been an AB wing with a stronger work rate than Joe Roks.

The gold of the Fern is that I'm never sure if people are truly winding or not. Even a smiley sometimes indicates a deeply held belief. I actually laughed at your comment, though, so well played.

ps - you realise I'm a Blues fan, sworn enemy of the title winning, cowbell banging dairy farmers who take our castoffs? And I'd still take Cane to start a test any day of the week, I just think he's got a game built for test rugby.

Dagg was strong too in 2010 on the wing - I would class both as fullbacks. Jane is obviously from a similar school but barely played FB in black.
