Ireland should have scored a lot more points given how they dominated us.

We need to learn how to exit properly, have an accurate kicking game, reduce errors. Pretty much a completely different gameplan to whatever you call the shit we put out tonight.

Ireland should have. But didn't. Same as last week.
Next week should be interesting. In fact, the midweek game should be interesting.

Ireland has done us a favour.
Test rugby has always been about the team that makes the less mistakes wins. As a person who experienced test rugby in the 70s (can't remember much to be honest), the 80s, 90s up to now, the rugby that the ABs play now doesn't feel like test rugby. There is a lack of territorial awareness which means a lack of pragmatic kicking, they invite chaos near their line which more often than not has negative results, etc, etc.
It is hard to explain but in the Foster era, they give it up too easily.

This is on the coaching team. They need to go. If we lose the series surely Foster can't stay on

Ireland would have to be the least likeable international team. What a bunch of whining plums.

As for the game, we are right in this. Ireland don't seem to be able to score and will be deflated by the last 15 minutes.

Oh I don't know about that.

You've got my permission to gloat.
Plus you must love the fan angst here that ABs are too old, when Sexton is about to be 37...

I just don’t get the box kick for us. We don’t chase well. They shielded well. Just handing the ball back close to the middle of the park.

We have no desire to play the territory game

Congrats mate. Showed far more composure tonight than the ABs. Set the tone in the first 10 minutes and then when the poker game started, the Irish may not have scored but they kept their wits.

    Almost the same team?
Minus Whitelock and a dash of Joe Schmidt?
But boosted by the return of the super AB coaching team from COVID lockdown?

    I hate this

Innate to day the Crusaders team would be an improvement on this dross.

They would at least have been able to get the ball to Mo'unga and Jordan.

Mo'unga had 30 odd minutes and didn't do a fucking thing. Because our 10s aren't the problem, our coaching group is. Absolutely brainless performance, made all the worse as we have both Razor and Rennie, NZers, that would love to coach the ABs, and one is stuck in SR and the other we let go overseas. Picking Foster as the head coach after Hansen was fucking insane at the time, and after loses to Argentina and Ireland at home in amongst other dross served up by a talented group of players, is even more insane now in hindsight. Jobs for fucking mates and we're paying the price.

Cheers ACT. It was a good win, regardless of the cards. Commiserations to NZ but it sets the remaining two games up nicely.

Reece intercept and Sexton injury helped us immensely. Ireland still dominated territory and possession last week and started the same as today.

I'm not too worried about losing Rennie tbh, not saying he is a bad coach but he doesn't seem to have (so far) catalysed the Wallabies?

@Donsteppa only thing worse would be a Hammett and Holland combo.

Brilliant! They can be the new defence and attack coaches under supervision of Ian Foster, in a co-coaching regime with John Hart and Grizz Wylie?

    Don't tell Mark...

Yep. Another test monkey off the back.

    Never won a game.
    Never won a game away.
Never won a game at home.
Never won a game in NZ.
