@Chris-B they include quick lineouts in there too dont they
ESPN count the thrower not the receiver, hence three ABs recorded a “lineout won” - Coles, Taylor, Mo’unga.
Agree with @Chris-B it’s a pretty useless stat
-
@Daffy-Jaffy TJ almost seemed a bit flat, he warmed up towards the end, but he was pretty dead pan which is unusual for him.
-
looking at the stats, it should have been closer

It's not just the errors, it is where they occurred on the field.

Random thoughts in no particular order.
Frizzel got stopped a few times eh, but really happy with his game. His workrate was immense, I'd be really interested in seeing stats for carries/tackles/rucks. In saying that, be interested to see what the other options can do now and if they'll be as amazeballs as all the Frizzel knockers think they'll be.
Topped the tackle count on both stats websites.

Man ANZ is a terrible stadium for fans.
The food is a fucking disgrace. Every single outlet sells the same shit - pies, chips, and hotdogs. You couldn't even get a pizza if you wanted, let alone some noodles or sushi or a decent burger. Imagine all the Asian cafe/restaurant owners who would love a crack at setting up in one of the kitchen to roll out awesome noodle/rice dishes at HT, could all be pre-prepared, pre-ordered, pre-paid for easy collection at HT.
At HT I queued up at one of the coffee bars for 15mins to get the kids a hot chocolate, only to be told they don't do hot chocolates. Only positive there was that I missed the Wallaby try, and if I didn't see it it didn't happen... 👊
I see the attendance was only 26k, thats pretty disappointing even given the weather.
Not much different from grounds in NZ, where the peak culinary offering is probably a Fritz's weiner
I had delicious Vietnamese a couple of years ago at Bay Oval, although it was the summer.

High up for carries as well. Is there anywhere that does breakdown stats?

I was ambiguous. I meant alternative to Simmons at lock.
Trevor Hosea who is 20.
How’d you rate him?
He was impressive in Super Rugby Au. Good mobility and good physicality.
Might be with a try off bench?

I just don't trust any of these stats, makes you wonder whose numbers the coaches use. For the fatties, I know they track closely dominant tackles , first 3 to breakdowns, repeat efforts, gain line breaches amongst other stuff.

@Machpants nah I reckon he knew he was on hhe wrong side and thought if he gave it to us he avoids a penalty.
On big Karl, yea looked like he is placing it back for the 9, which was pretty luck really cos if he doesnt score himself with 3 men outside....
I was just so happy when he caught the ball ! I think it would have been asking too much for him to pass as well!
Expect there’s still some nerves. Karl’s route to top hasn’t involved anywhere near as much top rugby as others. I think he was happy to catch, saw a massive hole which he took with aplomb, but wasn’t alert to what was outside him.
Had been training for battering ram role all week.
Hope they have a gentle word to him.

@pakman Tupou was just standing up at scrum time. Only refs that don’t know what they are doing will fall for that.
Noticed that a couple of times, and penalised for it once. But popped Hodgman into space once and that seemed more legal. What LHs try on THs all the time.

Whether you trust them or not, feel free to use stats to back up your favourite player or make another one look like they are hopeless 😎

I've gotten a bit sick of Perenara. He's not really improved with age and his skills look sloppy. Add in all the pr virtue signalling and goddy good image and all I want for Christmas is a decent halfback prospect
We all do except for TJP's White Knight, @canefan

At least TJP is doing a great job leading the haka

The side step for someone of his geometry was something to behold but sure if he had fukked it up it could have been career ending

All Blacks seriously need some succession planning at halfback. The gap between Aaron Smith and the rest is that big.
Return to the status quo. Halfback has always been our weakest position historically.
It's been a treat having a Rolls Royce halfback for the better part of a decade after always being outmatched.
A good point. Springboks have regularly seemed to be strong at halfback. Aus also and maybe the europeans
