Did anyone here actually want him to get the job? I know plenty of people are willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and some time, but I'll bet he wasn't the preferred choice of anyone. Says alot really.
I dint know anyone. However same could be said of Henry post 07
There were heaps outside of Canterbury. I wanted him back.

Perhaps @WTW at a stretch but I can't think of anyone else.
I wanted him to get it as a joke to watch the fern meltdown but I didn't for the life of me expect him to get it

The long game had been played and signals well before the decision were given that appeared at least that it was almost guaranteed to happen

True and this "Joke" was long before he was appointed.

@Hooroo a good fern meltdown always brings a smile to my face 😀
Whilst we haven’t reached the meltdown proportions of 07 QF loss or Deans v Henry or French ref in BIL series, RnR under Henry etc etc....Fozzie’s first test reaction is soaring up there

How's Fozzie going?
He's getting fatter and fatter and fatter. At the rate he's going he'll resemble Mr Cerosote soon.
Hansen didn’t get fat shamed nearly as much until he started losing
Not true. The focus on his weight from social media and on here happened while he was an assistant to Henry.
Well with the focus on obesity in NZ at the moment hopefully he pays attention and leads by example

My understanding was that he was pretty much a shoe-in even before the 2019 RWC. The semi loss wasn't considered enough of a disaster to change that. I've never seen so little enthusiasm for an AB coach. Usually you have strong supporters or detractors, but Foster seems to only have detractors or people praying he doesn't fcuk up too bad.
-
@Rancid-Schnitzel at best Foz makes a good go of it and proves us all wrong. At worst we can hope his bosses choose not to renew his contract at the end of two years and the new coach has a couple of years to get us right before RWC 2023
-
@canefan and hope to stall or slow any downward trajectory! and that's against a backdrop of us not really being at the top of our game over the last few years. That's why sticking with Fozzie was the wrong call imo.
The board went for consistency with a slightly new flavour versus new and dynamic (compelling!) but lacking international coaching experience (age group aside). I think they saw that as at the safe call. Lame.
If we end up losing Razor like we've lost Rennie I will be beyond pissed.

There are options. I know Gatland was far from great in his first year with the Chiefs, but he has a strong test record. As you say, I hope Razor sits tight and waits to see what happens. Schmidt is off on hiatus but if the opportunity arose to join a new cartel, who knows? That's just off the top of my head

R. M. Deans will be good to go in two years 😉

Day Day. What a character.

@MN5 i'll give that a like simply because i would imagine there is a minute amount of people on here who know who dayday is
I'd say nil to fuck all.
Everyone is so white on this forum.

@raznomore said in The 'How is Fozzie going?' thread:
@MN5 there's nothing wrong with that. I stand with my oppressed white brothers and sisters. Unless it's on the dancefloor, I don't want to lose an eye by one of you spaz's uncontrollably flinging an arm out
This is true, we're not all John Travolta that's for sure.
Much more like the dorks that Eddie Murphy parodies.

I'm closer to blue, does that count as non-white?
