We didn't boo Lomu when he left the Blues. Cane fans are just horrible human beings.
I don't remember Mils getting booed by Blues fans either, and he captained the Chiefs.
Mils had an issue with the Blues coaches. Lomu left fairly early in his career.
Lomu played for CM. He moved from Blues to Chiefs when they were re-aligned in 99
Totally different scenario. And Mils was never really a jafa in the first place
And Beauden isn't a wellingtonian either

Yeah, it should be us Chiefs fans booing him.

IMO playing for another team, being able to be with your wife, and simply moving cities to be be where you want to be isn't worth a boo. What dickheads.
I'm intrigued, how much is a boo worth?
Beauden should get over himself. He ditched the franchise he was a hero to. Oh and it's only fucken booing, whoopdeedoo.

Beaudy joins canes 2011
Taranaki split to chiefs to avoid ever being part of winning a super rugby title 2013
So nah

What did everyone else make of the booing? Think this is a little bit sensative of Beauden. It came across as friendly fire from his old fans. Nothing more, nothing less.
No big brother likes being showed up by his little brother. Jordie and his gang were the one with the smiles at the end last week. I doubt Beaduen would have been bothered by the Boos if he'd won.

Maybe they were saying Boooooo den ?

A reminder of where Julian Savea was at as a wing when he left:
https://thechaserugby.com/2018/02/22/super-rugby-2018-new-zealand-conference-preview/
The same metrics which mark out Braydon Ennor and Will Jordan as interesting prospects in the back three provide insight into the struggles of Julian Savea: he turned the ball over more frequently and offloaded less frequently than any other All Blacks outside back across 2016 and 2017. These figures did not improve markedly during the 2017 Mitre 10 Cup, as we can see from the graph above.
It is tempting to put these figures down to a deterioration of basic skills, but β as he showed in New Zealandβs season opening win against Samoa β his passing ability and alignment are still elite for an international winger. Evidence from NPC play and the 2018 Brisbane Tens tournament β where he appeared susceptible to knocking on when leading with the ball into contact β suggests that it may be a result of a decline from his power into the tackle, a defining feature of his game early in his career.

Geezus. They're nuts.
he's 1 inch taller than Blackwell, so joining as a lock?
-
@Stockcar86 Or as a prop, replacing Fraser Armstrong?

@Bovidae said in Hurricanes 2020:
The article on Stuff also says Laumape could be out until Nov.
sickening disrespect
-
Oh man, I remember he had about the biggest decline I have ever seen, from a very good All Black, to not even NPC reserve standard, really curious to see how he is now, rejuvenated from his over seas vacation or if he has declined even more - it will be comical.

@Nepia He's not that old, and looks in good shape in recent photos. I hope he plays well, he was excellent for the ABs.
Put him in the midfield and he might be great.
Wasn't there a lot of off field distractions caused by his missus?
I heard that. She didn't get on with the rest of the family? Duke of Sussex syndrome

I didn't mention his age at all, just his form. No idea if his on field form for half a decade was related to his missus.
The Canes have midfielders and outside backs in their squad who should be played before him.
Although I do need to edit my original post as I was focussed on midfield, as the Canes have lost two wings in recent weeks.
-
@Nepia There are only two games left to play and with the Canes citing poverty as the reason for releasing Carlos Spencer there can be very little justification in spending money they presumably need for other purposes on players they don't really need given they still have Vince Aso, Billy Proctor, Salesi Rayasi, Peter Umaga-Jensen, Kobus van Wyk, Jonah Lowe, Chase Tiatia and Wes Goosen all listed or have been used on the wing in their squad.
