Stormers no 2 was mouthing off all game. Ardie had the last word. Simple.
Yeah noticed that. Mbonambi had a couple of goes at it earlier.
-
@Paekakboyz Stating the obvious, but they should have tried (or tried harder) to get Fakatava.

Any of you caarnts still don't think Jordie is a 12? Clearly he's far more comfortable there. The dilemma now is what the fug to do about Laumape...
Me.
Great with ball in hand and running lines. Medium length pass way too slow and loopy for distribution needs at international level.
He may be more comfortable there but at the top level I agree with the assessment of the AB coaches. Those skills work better at the back (except when attempting quick throw ins ). Needs to sharpen his passing game to be considered.Well knock me down with a feather. I'm sure you applied the same standards to SBW when he burst onto the scene. Or probably not. His pass was fine today. Just needs more time at 12. Tiatia is a natural fullback. Jordie isn't.
Go and watch the first half again and watch how many laboured loopy passes he threw. If he got better then fair enough, but he was stand out horrid to start.
I don't think i've seen SBW throw a loopy pass ever.
You were probably too busy looking somewhere else.

@Paekakboyz would chasing Drummond be a better option. No point him sitting behind Enari and Hall at the Crusaders.
-
@Canes4life that wouldn't be a bad idea. But with the state of our forward pack I'd hope we can get a really good defensive halfback, as well as passing/kicking etc. I only want the world ha ha.
There is a reason why TJ is so bloody good on D and acting as a 4th loosie - he's had to given the state of our forwards over the years.
-
@Paekakboyz yeah TJ is a big reason why we can cope even when out forwards are going backwards. Drummond seems to have a good skillset and he wouldn't be a bad backup considering the other options around New Zealand atm.
-
@Canes4life waaaay fucking better that our current 2&3 options.

I'm happy for you to prove me wrong. I just don't think that among all the masses of criticism SBW has copped over the years I have noticed a theme of poor passing.
Perhaps, if you are going to come up with a smart comment, back it up with fact instead of another smart comment? -

Goosen had another good game. Unsure why he got criticism early on but he's a good player.
I'm also unsure why Plumtree likes Blackwell so much. I watched him closely in the NPC last year and even at this level as a lock I was unimpressed. Even at 6 he's fairly ordinary. Maybe I'm missing something. But my view is he will cost us any chance of winning this competition.
-
@Winger he's a hard worker but he isn't big enough to be effective. On One News last night Geoff Cridge was running around again so hopefully we will see him in action soon and I'm crying out for Walker-Leawere to get a start as I think he will be the big man we need moving forward in the campaign.
-
Cridge will likely last for 5 minutes if he returns before another injury. He's sadly a bit like Fidow. Just too injury prone
Agree on Isaia Walker-Leawere,
-
@Winger There was another big unit in the footage (see below) - could be Kane Leaupepe.
-
@Canes4life I think I see Tom Parsons in that clip (in a green shirt).
-
@Stargazer Yeah he has been around the camp for about a month now - maybe he might get a crack.

Perhaps, if you are going to come up with a smart comment, back it up with fact instead of another smart comment?Wouldn't have made any difference. You would have defended him regardless. And his passing in 2011 definitely wasn't world class. In fact there were multiple aspects of his game that needed to be worked on. Would have been rather unfair to straight out write him off as a 12 don't you think?

The point was that JBs passing was ropey. Try playing the ball instead of taking aim at the person making the point.
I havenβt written JB off as a 12 just commented that if he has international aspirations in the position he needs to sharpen his passing game. -
