@taniwharugby So everry time the ABs lose to a team, they disrespect (or underestimate) them according to this author? What a bullshit. They just made too many mistakes and the Boks played wel; nothing to do with disrespecting (or underestimating) the opposition.

Fair points, although curious that at home and with Figallo at TH Pumas handled Boks scrum?

    OK, didn't see that match.

That Venter article was a good read, actually. I'd encourage readers to actually click that link and read the whole thing, some interesting stuff also on Boks defence. Rather than skip it based on negative comments on here. Well done Stuff for actually commissioning some original journalism of an opposing view of the up-coming match.

Disrespect, underestimate, take too lightly, whatever. It's semantics. He expects players won't make similar decisions in Pretoria due to a change in their mental approach of risk v reward.

I agree the All Blacks approach will be different in Pretoria, tighter, more 'traditional test match like' and we already saw that in Buenos Aires

@rapido I think there is a big difference between disrepecting and underestimating someone.

But then the quote I highlighted doesnt make alot of sense, otherwise not sure what the negative comments were.

Yeah I'm quite interested in how he knows it for a fact.

    I’m always underestimating.

When I predict the All Blacks by 10 they usually win by 20. When I say by 20 they win by 25+.

I won’t ever do it again.

Is that because you make the predication based on your Canta-blacks selection and not on the actual selection?

I believe every now and then when we are on a winning streak a sub par performance is on the cards ,

I don’t believe it has anything to do with how we view the opposition, just our own mental edge is not quite where it should be .

    5pm NZ time.

Is that disrespect for naming the time when convenient for the NZ nightly news?

All Blacks to face Springboks from a very good source.

Reserves: Nathan Harris, Tim Perry, Ofa Tuungafasi, Patrick Tuipulotu, Ardie Savea, TJ Perenara, Richie Mo'unga, Ryan Crotty.

@unite not sure, given they usually name at 5am which is when I am asleep, even more disrespectful

@SouthernMann that is interesting as Crotty has been doing a little bit of media this week and that is usually an indicator they are looking to start.

That was my preferred starting 15 - I'd be pleased.

Not so sure about the hooker researve (although to be expected) plus no Dmac or ALB...

Hell of a long Flight for Dmac to carry water rather than be with family

After Hansen fails to read my emails and names the team on Thursday my expectations go down considerably

There’s still one more practice and if one of Barrett or Richie get hurt in that, he needs to be in Saffaland just in case.
