I'm surprised Lord is still there, didn't really notice him last game.
Who would you select to replace him?
Give Walker-Leawere a shot. Why not?
Cam Suafoa at 6 over Blackadder. Why not?
Was Suafoa called into the squad?

The Argentinians will be gunning for this one. There's history in the making.
If we don't have a good first half I'd like to see Ratima come out at the beginning of the second half. -

My takeaways from the starting XV.
I like the balance of the wingers better than Telea and Reece. Clarke and Jordan offer the Julian Savea/Ben Smith type balance.
Would you not start Ofa at loose head considering heâs been playing and Tamaiti hasnât? Or are we just are just going throw another crusader straight into the starting xv who hasnât played a lot of minutes at all this yearâŚ.. not a shock. Thought having experience on the field would be a big thing in this game seeing as they harp on about how you canât replace experience.
Shocked TJP is still starting, would prefer Ratima but I guess this is his chance to step up as a leader and prove why he should still be in the 23.
A shame De Groot has hurt his neck. Hope it isnât serious.
I supect they've lessoned a learning -- better to have old heads on at end.

For me only one real question from team: what exactly is the status of Finau? Not playing Fiji was uncontroversial, and selected in TRC squad. Why not sighted since?? When Raz asked in PC after Puma I announcement, he merely said, 'He wasn't selected' and clearly didn't want to discuss.
Other than EDG injury the 23 was entirely as expected.
The problem is that TWM are paying the price for extremely poor TRC squad selection.
No real gimme matches so all 36 needed to be able to come on for last 15 when heat on.
Bell, Sititi and Hotham ought to have been kept for EOYTs, either for ABs or XV.
The obvious experienced players were Ricatelli, Akira/Hoskins and Christie.
All of whom would have been real chances to be in 23 for Saturday had they been in squad.
The selected ones may be seen by TWM as having higher ceilings, but even if that is so, this isn't Super where periods of lessons can be accomodated.

Lord has the physical dimensions and sure heâs still a young pup but I think theyâll persist with him at least whilst heâs fit and there are injuries to two frontline locks.
The key physical dimension he doesn't have is a weight of 125 kegs.

Whenever he's actually been able to string games together I've been impressed though, he definitely plays above his apparent weight. Whitelock seemed a bit of a lightweight to start with too.

@Bones Well, if we assume Holland comes in next year, lock will be quite crowded.
Can they bring Fabian Holland as a pre eligibility apprentice on EOYT, just to train with the team or is that forbidden?
You can do what you want as long as they don't play for the abs

Come on Foz you got this. I mean Razor
No wonder the ABs are on a slide. What with @Chris and @Bones and now you demanding your head coach put late-career John Holmes to shame. Your manâs got no time to select, let alone coach. Youâve got him so busy climaxing simultaneously with Ryan, splattering Fozzie like a plastererâs radio, ejaculating on some random guy and if thatâs not enough, the exhausted fellaâs supposed to engage in some revolting act known only as âphrasing.â I shudder to think what that entails.
Makes one long for simpler times, when AB coaches only forced players to drink themselves stupid(er) after thrashing the boks or wallabies with Mextedâs astute commentary to keep your thoughts pure.

So maybe the plan is to move Barrett/Vaai to 6 once the locks are all fit? Hence not bothering to invest in a blindside and making sure Blackadder gets in plenty of time in all positions for his move to the bench.
Ace.
I had thought of this , wonât be surprised if we end up starting 3 locks

I hope not, because neither of those guys are very good at 6.
I think not, because if that were the medium-term plan then doing the exact opposite and selecting midgets is no way to prepare the team for that plan. -
Blackadder and TJ are the obvious problems. Managing Cane to his 100 is stupid as well.
Clarke will help massively with his work close to the ruck, and paper over a few forward problems with ball carrying. Much better in the air as well.
RI's pace will help blunt the Argies centre attack that embarassed us last week. ALB is too slow for centre, but could be a good option for 12.
Squad selection means this is as good as it's going to get.
The boks are going to demolish this group. Look at what happened in the last quarter when the pressure came on. Imagine 80mins of that. Fun.
