Thought he would sneak a few average crusaders in there.

Too many to choose from so he just gave up? 🎣

Genuinely surprised at the aversion to a visible shot clock. If we are worried about time wasting then just shorten the time on the clock. Why wouldn’t we want a single source of truth, visible to all parties? I used to kick, and having a ref in my ear telling me “20 seconds” then “10 seconds” sounds bloody annoying.

Yeah true, seems much easier to break your concentration to turn and look at a shot clock.

I don't see any great aversion to it, it just seems very unnecessary. But I can understand the desire for it when one AB kicker fell foul of timekeeping once, in one game.

Give them a clock, make it short, and stop the match clock. We should reduce time wasting and maximise time in play.

Everything played at NZ's latest Test venue Trafalgar Park.

I doubt Waterloo station could handle the crowds...

God it’s irritating how these idiots list their team.

Out of interest, why aren’t the reserves listed from 23-21, then forwards 16-20?

Pretty much as expected with minimal change - though I expect a lot of people always calling for radical change will be disappointed.

Only worry for me is Christie starting but there's really no other option - hope Ratima gets some reasonable game time.

    Is Clarke still injured?

Yes. Ribs aren’t an easy injury to overcome quickly

Especially as the post was coming swiftly after I decried the lack of sauce on the thread

I feel like I would have to travel millions of miles to find someone who doesn't like sauce. You're a rare breed

Does the "shot clock" apply to all penalty kicks? Can't find anything specific in the laws. If a team were trying to run down the game clock does it apply in all parts of the field and kicks to touch?

If so, stopping the match clock would have quite an impact on the total match time (if all teams used the maximum - extreme I know). Average number of penalties in super is 19 per match (can't find test stat). Add 19 minutes to a match and it could run over a 2 hour TV slot with all the crap that goes on beforehand, etc.

Anyway, it's a good thing to have it available for the kicker, crowd countdowns aside, they should know if they are about to run out.
