Funaki is definitely a better player, and has had more game/big game experience, esp recently. I reckon it is a bit of a bullshit call, very open to bias
Add to it, they're going to be in Auckland, you know, where Funaki actually lives and plays? Someone who was a big part of a super dominant team and didn't just play a couple of decent games towards the end of the season after stinking it up at the start.
Funaki would be exactly who you bring in as injury cover. This is getting silly now.

Rugby Direct Podcast saying that Roigard is on track for the EOYT.

Honestly I was hoping he'd be back earlier

@Frank you just wouldn't no with these coaches, probably have to prove him self first at NPC level
Prove he's fit yes.
He's got nothing to prove in terns of playing ability.I'm a lot less confident of that now than I would've been three weeks ago.

Roigard might have been the player name dropped the most by Razor when he first started doing the media rounds after Foz finished up.
Lock Roigard in (assuming fitness).
Even more than Whitlock?

Noah Hotham?
I suspect he may be close to getting picked. Not saying I would select him, but when he started looking like he belonged in Super Rugby this year he showed a handy running game, a crisp pass and the ability to clear under pressure.
He could be the backline selection version of Bell.
Yep NZR said begiining of last year they had tabs on Hotham!
That would seem like a fairly stupid thing for "NZR" to say, whatever that means. Since when does "NZR" comment on up and coming players?
Well it was actually the NZR high performance manager(I think his title was) , he was on tv talking about talent etc they (NZR) had eye on, and Hotham was one of a few names he dropped. Not sure why it would be a problem, when you talking about players in the game. I used to hear same in Aus. I don't think it unusal at all.

@Dan54 you don't see the difference between saying the high performance manager mentioned him when asked, as opposed to NZR announcing they have tabs on him? Righto

@Bones wasn't that more media driven?
Looking at my post again it seems it was more a sauce thing.

He was talking as the NZR development, he was talking about players they had tabs on in future, he also dropped Fabian Holland's name. None aked him he was talking of excitement of players they were excited about and they watching.
Not sure if you understand the idea of speaking for a sport's body. But anyway I may need to be a bit clearer and stop assuming that everyone can understand pretty basic and I thought innocent remark.

Ironing out the creases there.
Yep probably mate, as I said ,really didn't think I needed to almost draw pictures. Hey but no probs, my bad, I keep assuming some things are fairly clear cut to most people, and one or 2 need things a bit simpler.
