I'd like to see the below for the second test:
De Groot
Taylor
Lomax
Barrett (C)
Tuipolotu
Blackadder
Papali'i
Savea (VC)
Ratima
McKenzie
Clarke
Barrett (VC)
Proctor
Reece
BarrettAumua
Tu'ungafasi
Newell
Va'ai
Jacobsen
Christie
ALB
PerofetaIts like invasion of the body snatchers has taken over the fern. People are picking Blackadder and backing it up with sound logic !
What is your reasoning with picking an ageing Barrett over a surprisingly very decent Perofeta ?
I also reckon Aumua deserves a start.
If Finau isn't fit Blackadder is my 6 choice. If he can bring that no nonsense style of game that we know he can and doesn't get injured, I think he'll be the guy picked.
My reasoning for Barrett is a bigger voice at the back. I think because DMac was so erratic at 10 last night, having Beaudy's experience out there will help, especially because I've got Proctor at centre aswell.
That's the team I want them to pick but I think Perofeta and Ioane will keep their spots.

Can't see too many non-injury enforced changes to be honest. Potentially a couple of changes on the bench.
Big thing last night was discipline ... no cards ( did we even get a warning?) I am picking that was one of the big focuses
-
I'd keep it the same, as mentioned above all players will be better for the game together, so making too many changes sets us back a bit.
Rieko had a couple of turnovers in quick succession which was noticeable, but was otherwise OK. It'd be crazy to drop him on that one performance. I've said I'd like him at wing before, but also happy with him at centre, he has to be on the park.
It'd also be harsh to drop Finau, the coaches have made their bed with him instead of Akira so they now need to develop him. He's learnt some big lessons in the Super final and last night, and with good coaches around him he should be better for it.
Halfback I'd start Christie for the early exchanges as his defense is very good, then look to bring on Ratima in the 2nd 40 to speed things up as I thought the English ran out of puff a bit.
If Blackadder is fit I'd be fine with him getting the bench spot over Jacobson, his high energy style of play could suit that role in test footy.

I hope Beauden Barrett doesn't start. He has never really worked well with DMc, doesn't take on the line, and continues to kick the ball away in the hopeless way we did last year. Perofeta did nothing wrong, so why bench him?
If we go that way -- not rewarding decent play by youngsters in order to promote men on the way out anyway then Robertson will just be Foster Mk II.
I think there will some extended video analysis, where Razor asks them "Why did you do that?". There's a lot of bad habits that will take some time to lose.

I disagree. He was under pressure the whole time as England were so good.

Sounds like TJ might be ok, scans tomorrow? I wonder if they rest him or let him play if deemed fit?
Definitely rest him, no need to risk players when Perenara, Christie and Ratima are fairly even ability wise, each bringing different strengths.

Our loosies need more collective oomphff. England outplayed us in that department. -
An option is to bring Sititi , Ratima and Proctor on in the second half
-
I've never liked Savea at 8 and Ioane at 13 . But that's just me.
7 and 11 for mine. -

Yep. You only have to look at the scrum in the last 4 years and how young players like De Groot have been brought in and the impact it's had.
I think there will some extended video analysis, where Razor asks them "Why did you do that?".
I would think so - every coach has done that since VHS came along.
-
I can't understand why people are calling for any change at all, unless injury related - either one sustained in the first test, or having not been considered for selection due to an existing one.
Nobody had enough of a shocker to be dropped after a 10-day prep into a single test.
Same team for me with Ratima in for TJ (prefer Christie off the bench to finish the game if he has to be there somewhere). No way we mess with RI, and Perofeta absolutely deserves to stay on.
It was an AB first-test performance for sure, but lets give them another shot to improve and then see where we are at.

@voodoo I'd be tempted to chuck Blackadder and Proctor on the bench, plus bring Clarke in for Telea. But yeah would prefer to see the same.
Yeah, not saying the team is what we would have picked ourselves for T1 - but given that team was picked by the selectors, it'd be a massive slap in the face to anyone dropped now after that prep and a single test, unless for an injury or a pre-planned switch.
-
Clarke should start if fit, he would have been selected otherwise. We need his power.

All Blacks coach Scott Robertson said it would be confirmed on Monday whether Perenara would be available for the match at Eden Park next Saturday night.
"If you asked TJ he's great. He's woken up in awesome condition, but we will scan him this afternoon,'' Robertson said on Sunday morning.
"I hope it is one of those ones that looked worse than it actually is. We will definitely know tomorrow morning. But we have got plans in place if he's not right.''
Blindside flanker Samipeni Finau, who was replaced by Tupou Vaa'i in the second half, required a head injury assessment but Robertson stated he would be available for selection.

I thought the bench worked well and we certainly were on top once both benches emptied.
