Highlanders v Crusaders

@ruggabee my point was, with or without that bonus point, they can still make the knock outs, given the right results
It's really hard for them. They need to get 3 points more than the Drua - and they play the Force tonight and Rebels in the last round with a game in hand on the Crusaders.
Or get 9 points more than the Highlanders, who finish with Blues Drua Canes.
So realistically Crusaders need to win 2/3 against Brumbies, Blues, M-P and pray that the Drua drop one of the Force or Rebels game. And that the Highlanders Drua game result falls their way. Or just win all 3 games to go of course!

If I were a Crusaders fan, I think I'd rather miss out on the playoffs. I mean this respectfully too, but the Blues/Canes would put 50 on this Crusaders side at home.

But it'd be really really unfair if the blues/canes lost.

Nine kids 22 or under in that 23. While they have only won two games, there is what nine All Blacks in the Crusaders. Massive for the young boys
I was thinking watching the game that there were quite a lot of the 2022 NZ U20 squad across both teams.
Highlanders - Fabian Holland, Oliver Haig, Jake Te Hiwi, Cam Millar, Finn Hurley
Crusaders - George Bell, Jamie Hannah, Noah Hotham, Macca SpringerFrom the Highlanders can add in 2023 U20 player Jack Taylor, as well as JRK, Stoddart (from last year's U20) and Broughton as the youngsters

How stupid not to take the BP kick at the end. Did not deserve the fluke closing try to get it anyway. But Saders still a chance with that BP I feel.
Still a chance because the Drua dropped their game overnight

I had to say I smiler when I saw Hannah at one stage when Clan were on attack and under goalposts (think just after try scored), he stepped up and gave De Groot a shove, Fabian Holland stepped in front of him like f*** off son (just like it from another youngster playing like a senior player), and until then I didn't realise how much bigger Holland was compared to Hannah.

And it was then I realized he will surely be a future AB great...................
Na mate, I thought that a couple of years back, but the size helps.

He isn't dominant at the lineout.
He isn't dominant in carries.
He's workmanlike around the field.
At this stage, I'd class him as a safe white boy with size who might kick on, nothing more. -

Both of which made their Super Rugby debut at 21. All.Black's later that year too. Holland debuted two years ago. Albeit for the shit Landers. Not eligible for the All Blacks until next year. Hard comparison. The kid is pretty good.
