@Kirwan right or wrong, I don't think that is the real issue with it, it's the lack of consistency applied to other head contacts that is a problem.
Hit the nail on the head. I have no issue with that being red. But why isn't Kriels or Taufafenuas also red. Just make your minds up.
And for the love of christ don't do what you did in 2019 where it was like a game of black jack in the pools, with cards flying everywhere. Then in the knockout it was like my dad remembering my birthday, with not a card in sight!

@His-Bobness yep, slower tighter games he is far too predictable, he will pass or you see that kick set-up.
@Kirwan I wasn't arguing that.

One of the reactions.
That is some hometown bullshit right there

You could argue there was an attempt to wrap, certainly with his left arm.
You could also argue the player dropping quickly
impacted the timing and height of the tackle which meant he couldn’t complete the tackle properly -
@Mattasaurus Of course they hit rucks, but often they are having to come off their line to do it because the frontrowers, who are supposed to be hitting lots of rucks from their centre of the field positions, aren't doing it. When we get more activity from our front rowers we get much better ball.

That is the game we just watched.

I thought the AB attack looked predictable when Smith replaced Roigard. Just shovelling the ball with no penetration. Other teams worked out how to defend against that years ago.
With that midfield what do you expect?

@stodders said in RWC Week 2: All Blacks v Namibia:
@His-Bobness I think it is because Foster sees Christie as the closest to Smith in terms of playing style, so ABs can continue to play the same way after the change. Not sure what glasses he is wearing though 😬
or maybe because Foster is actually clueless

It improved for when Smith was on, he had ioane

@DaGrubster No problem, was just being a smart ass.

EdG was a red. However due to the newness and inconsistency of the application of this rule it would be unfair for a ruling to have an impact outside of the pools
