Was flicking between the Barbarians match and the All Blacks. Really showed who is the coaching guru out of the 2 games, the difference in cohesion and tactics. We certainly shouldn't be giving Robertson any credit whatsoever for taking a rag-tag group and turning them into a winning team in two coaching sessions.

Razor had 2, yes 2 training sessions with this team that beat a All Blacks B side, who had already been together for weeks and already had a win on tour. Took a group that haven't played together, from different countries and languages and beat a NZ XV team that had weeks of training together including another game. Then we flick to All Blacks with the Foster swapping players game after game with little clue of a game-plan. I certainly didn't waste much more time watching the aimless kicking and disorganized mess in Black.

Also McDonald has had more failures than successes, always outsmarted by Robertson in head to heads. Razor does it his way and doesn't have to call in the likes of Schmidt and other international or ex-international coaches to help him out. McDonald seems to lack the technical skills that Robertson displays in his game-planning, strategy & team selections. NZRU adore Leon though, despite his limited success and his inability to counter Razor's pragmatic tactical nous and astute calculated game-plans.

Yep astounding result from Razor and amazing insight from you. It was his inspiration that clearly caused Stevenson to bobble drop the ball that should have won the match and his tip to Lauret to make Makalio botch the last throw. And sheer genius to forge combinations with only 8 or so La Rochelle players. You can see it all so clearly. Totally outgunned the AB XV with their greater experience from several of the team having played most of a previous match and only a few of them arriving since the team got to the UK.

Meanwhile the AB's second string lineup was too inept to go for a crowning try because they did not realise they were only 8 points ahead of an opponent they would have beaten by 50 with Razor coaching, despite them fielding their top lineup, which had troubled some other top 10 teams.

You don't suppose Ronan O'Gara might have had some input somewhere?

@Chris it's going to be fucking funny if we make the world cup final. No doubt it'll be due to Robertson having infiltrated international teams with poisonous IP a year out from the cup.

    not funny,a fucking miracle.
If we win the WC under Foster I will be the first one to admit I was 100% wrong and Foster is a genius .As I still want us to win it really badly.
But my head tells me he is not capable of getting us there.

Do you think there's a side in world rugby that this AB team can't beat? Answers on a post card with a photo of the country, out of sides we haven't already beaten this year.

Anyone can beat us on the day atm.
Fuck Japan almost did and Scotland we could lose pool games at the WC the way this circus is travelling.
No matter who we play in the QF onwards it would be less than 50/50 chance of winning.

Do you you think we have improved enough since England knocked us out of the last WC to not see a repeat of that happening ?.

Anyone can beat anyone in the finals? Apart from England getting a sweet run when has that not been the case? That's not something brought about by Foster.

Also, you didn't answer the question, just invented a new

Of course it is Fosters fault, Have you not been reading this thread he is responsible for everything even the shortage of donuts.

You in politics? Answer the question you want to be asked not the one you actually were.

And in answer, kinda, to @Bones we havent beaten France, Italy, any of the PIs, Chile, USA ...

France could proves tricky, but reckon we have a starter's chance.

I answer what I want to respond to not what you tell me to.

Hah, not retarded at all. Just go a solo post then, no need to quote my question to you that you don't have the gumption to answer.

Not sure what is more hyperbolic anymore.

The criticism of Foster or the praise given to Robertson.

Yes, you can put results side by side and have a comparison whinge if you want, but if you give Scotland the true credit they actually deserve, you'll come up with the conclusion that Foster smashed Robertson this weekend.

Scots are a good team, at home, with a backline far far superior to what we put out. They are at peak of their season, we are at the end. And we beat them, with out playing our best team.

    Ups to Foster.

Um are you implying the NZ XV are crap?

Speaking of peak of season, when was ours? Honestly don't know.

No. I’m saying that beating Scotland at home is a bigger achievement than beating a thrown together team of third rate NZ players.

Peak should be mid of regular season.

Razor did a better job of the haka with 5 men than McDonald did with 23.

    Discuss.

Well, I haven't seen any videos, but I have to say I was disappointed that the AB XV lost. That said, it was a close defeat against a team stuffed with Test veterans who regularly beat the top international teams while the AB XV was a pretty inexperienced bunch.

So a close defeat against that was a good result. I guess it comes down to the quality (or lack of) of both team's coaches.

I'll leave others to comment on the match itself as I've yet to see it....

Classic avoiding the question. No mention of the haka as is typical of a Foster apologist /razor apologist.

Listen up, I was talking about the Haka. It's perfectly clear Razor is a coaching God who can turn any Frenchman into a verifiable master of pūkana in less than 3 hours....

probably another thread this could go in, but confirms that Razor wants the AB job post RWC, if not, he will be off, but ABs is his 1st choice.

One hopes NZR don't leave it so late that no one bothers to apply when offered another role

"Ian Foster says his team is ready to shake off the challenges and deliver one final statement performance for their 2022 season."

I guess another Loss then as the only Statement made by you in 2022 Mr Foster is that you are a poor coach .
