A bit damming, they have short attention spans according to McLeod, and have to be constantly reminded of defence patterns/ideas.

Says the defence coach who has been there half a decade and has major question marks.....

thats why I said According to McLeod more a dig at him than the players in my post.

@Chris haha, these are professional players with the ability to work in other defence structures, they enter your environment and struggle....

As an educator, if one or two of the students don't understand, generally, it is not the explanation/content. If most or all of the students have trouble, then that is entirely on me and the shithouse way I have explained things.......

Was thinking the same thing. The Crusaders and Blues defence structures were pretty decent in SR,with a lot of the same players in those environments,It seems to me he is high lighting his own deficiencies.

Does this mean Stevenson is into the AB XV? Guess it depends how long Telea is called up for.

If Tima is still touring with Tonga the reason must be more personal.

Whitelock en route to join All Blacks in Japan

Whitelock en route to join All Blacks in Japan

All Blacks lock Sam Whitelock flew out of Christchurch on Wednesday morning to join the side in Japan, but it is a fair guess he will avoid trampolines during the All Blacks' northern hemisphere tour.

Anyone know if the Japan match is being shown outside of NZ ie in UK?

Everything I’ve seen indicates it’s not being shown.

@MajorRage Flo Rugby is USA only, I think. Not sure it's tv; maybe streaming only.

It is on Stan here in OZ which is good. Is there a match thread yet? If not is this the closest to a game ever without one, shows the interest in this one.

Okay after this morning I reeeaaallly want to know what out defensive pattern out wide is

On those early exchanges when Wales tried to play wide their first attack RI took one guy, used his pace to get another, and that STILL left Clarke defending 2

I would write it off as a bad read saved except the exact same thing happened to ALB later in the game.

There's a risk/reward thing there and I would love to know the thinking.
