If that was the case, it would be interesting to see who was tapped on the shoulder to step up in the interim.
Surely even NZR wouldn't be contemplating it without speaking to some prospective candidates. And there's a distinct lack of whispers being leaked.

Schmidt has stayed behind in NZ. If they need an interim coach he is already there, and NZ play two back to back games in NZ against Argentina, so Schmidt doesn't have to travel.
But that sounds far too organised for the NZRU 😂

Because he's been given assurance that he'll be taking full control after RWC 2023? Agreed, it is v doubtful he'll be an assistant. Unless Schmidt is installed as hands-on DoR and Razor is head coach.

If this happens it has to be Razor unless it is clear that Schmidt only wants the job short term. Otherwise Razor goes and another country gets to lift their game enough to beat us. Our exports are killing us.Seems that Schmidt won't travel? Or have you a better sauce?
