A lot of this seasons officiating is inconsistent at best...Landers seem to miss the rub of the green a lot (I'm biased) but I'm not sure we speak / play / manage the officials as well as the other teams either..
I think the Landers were on the wrong end of the stick this game for sure. And I am not a Landers supporter.Although probably my second team in SR.
Nah we weren't. Just weren't good enough.
Talking more about the Red card BS should have gone both ways.

@bones Yep, sun's out. Happy Easter!
Rayasi had a great game (if he doesn't get national honours soon, I wouldn't blame him for heading to the Top 14), Jordie looked good at 12. Apart from that these Canes look rather mediocre.
Rayasi for higher honours?? You are joking, he had a fairly good game tonight, a shocker last week, I don't see him getting higher honours .

@stargazer Oh ok I was just saying that I couldn’t see where he hit him in the face I also said that I didn’t doubt he did.
I’ve watched that clip over and over again and I can see a faint shoulder where Evans head was but then Aumua seems to hit him harder in the chest.
Yep I buggered if I can see a hit in head, I can't work out how he got black eye from that contact, and his eye was up as soon as he stood up. Obviously there must be some other angle. And didn't Evans keep on playing with no HIA as stargazer says, HIA has to be done in dressing room and is supposedly meant to take up to 10 minutes.
No need for another angle, it's there right before he hits him in the chest.

Not sure how that would've changed the match, but he may have got away with yellow anyway?

Or a red not sure if that would have changed the outcome,
It just seems The Landers got a rough call there. -

Never write any player off. But there's a fair few in the queue at the moment, and he's a few back as yet.

@dan54 He's big and fast and runs good angles. Loads of potential. There aren't too many of those around. Played well last night. If he can consistently perform at that level though the rest of Super Rugby, he will be of interest to the AB selectors.

Clarke, Ioane, Faingaanuku, Savea, Bridge, ENS, heck probably even Ennor all ahead of him on the left. Have I missed anyone?

I would have Goosen ahead of Rayasi aswell, he’s so underrated.

@canes4life Yeah, how Goosen slips under everyone's radar is quite amazing. He has been a tidy footballer for a few seasons.

Good call, he's someone akin to Nankivell as it would be interesting to see what they offered if brought into the environment.

Apart from the OMG, this is a good post.
Probably a citing coming there,
Welts under the eyes don’t just appear, there must have been contact to the head. That angle doesn’t look good he has seen Evans there and led with the shoulder

Yep that’s what I saw.

@canes4life that Sam Casey fella on Twitter the other night was saying Goosen is heading offshore soon, I tend to trust him on that statement as he knew of franks and bird signings last yr before canes made it official

Goosen would be an excellent pickup for a Japanese franchise looking for an outside back.

Jordan would be on the right and as much as I'd like it to be otherwise, Nareki can't even enter the equation.

@fakatavafuture Seriously hope not he’s one of the canes best outside back he’d make a massive dent.
Agree on this. But Goosen has been around for a while now and haven't progressed beyond super rugby. Hes 26 now (20/10/95) and 27 by year end so a good time for him to make his move. Shame if he does though as hes playing some of his best rugby this year. And Ive always liked him as a player
