Don't do that. Dig in and stubbornly fight your corner despite evidence to the contrary. That is the Fern way!

I thought the ref was very good, it was the tmo who got that call wrong. Same as the blues game the refs seemed less reluctant to blow up the ruck for slight technicalities and let the game go. He was very clear with his tackles and release etc.

@mikey07 Do you think that black eye just appeared by itself? And do you think it's coincidence that that happened immediately after Aumua lunged at him, shoulder first?

You’d think if a ref sends someone for a head knock check then they would be able to check how the head knock occurred just to cover their own arses against accusations of double standards

It was a terrific game of rugby though and good to see some of the younger players sticking their hands up for higher honours.

Well, I expected Ardie to be a hypocrite with the final call (after the last game) but he was all class. Hopefully, these teams find their mojo against the Aussie sides.

Rayasi all class for the Hurricanes. He must be a contender for national honours later in the year. Jordie looking at home at 12.

Highlanders super brave, despite the unlucky loss. They are a franchise heading in the right direction.

He's been cake all year until today and has about half a dozen guys in front of him. Bit early to be a few cans down bro but hey happy Easter!

@bones Yep, sun's out. Happy Easter!

Rayasi had a great game (if he doesn't get national honours soon, I wouldn't blame him for heading to the Top 14), Jordie looked good at 12. Apart from that these Canes look rather mediocre.

Rayasi should go and get a game with the Breakers, because he’s barely played any decent rugby this year

Wish Dawai played instead of Gregory, we noticably kick into higher gear when Folau comes on.. maybe he should start against nic white next week🤔hunt suits the 22 jersey just like he did at his prior team, I'm gutted we lost all regular derby's this season ,
Blake Gibson has turned out to be a good signing for the canes

@stargazer I didn't think they do sideline HIA anymore and i thought they took about 5-10 mins to do.

    Quick thoughts:

    Aumua farking lucky.

Mau did not ground it, but reckon could have got the PT for Jordie's high tackle.

Momentum got the ball onto the leg and then the ground. Try.

There was no vision of the ball on the ground.

    Double movement. Well done canes

    Oh missed that

Selfish. Just needs to place it. Frustrating

    Mmm no idea

Jordie high tackle. YC and PT please

    That's what I thought....seatbelt tackle!

I thought seat belt tackles were now allowed, well they are in NH, so thought they were here to. As long as no contact with head. But I not sure if JB's was , as I missed it.

Fairly ordinaty game, wouldn't have had an argument who won it.

    Are they? If so ok.

@stargazer Evans should’ve gone off for an HIA then shouldn’t he if it was as bad as he made it out to be…maybe I’m blind but I can’t see any contact to the head I’m not saying it didn’t happen I just can’t see it.

    Didn't he go for HIA?

Another disjointed performance from Canes... by not playing our right settled combos we're not just going to lack continuity, but also make more handling errors.

Barrett played a bit of a shocker last night, the bloke had hands like feet, also stuffed up an easy try... Garden-Bachop doesn't have a long punt, but his short kicking game was awful, gave the ball away 3 or 4 times through poorly weighted grubbers.
There was a fair bit of bloody thoughtless long kicking by both sides kicking it down each others throats, instead of looking to kick to space.
