Reminder that there are people who want Foster to stay as head coach.
Who? Where? I haven't seen any

it may surprise all on here but I am not a fan of our coaching tactics. But I don't think we should get personally nasty.
I still think our players are better than the way they played this season or the results, but we don't have the players of yore and the competition has got better. We just have to live with it and probably another poor 2 years. It was all doom and gloom in 2009 also. We sorted it out pretty quickly. We can do the same next year.

Slightly off subject from the deserved allblack bashing ,
How healthy is nh rugby looking right now ? And it’s a collective thing , not just one side .
Bloody concerning how we are looking second rate in comparison

@delicatessen
There are some apologists in this thread right now.Plus the morons who make the decisions keeping him in a job.

Havilli was terrible but it's not even his fault, he's pretty much playing to the best of his ability. How many times must he prove to the selectors that he's not up to it against the very top opposition. I really have no issues with average players performing averagely, that's on the selectors for not dropping them, not the players themselves.

Well done France. Black mark on our coaches in persisting so long with Richie Mounga when he was having such an off day and Jordie having the same. We seem to have lost our vision in the backs. Jordan was not given any ball. Tupaea and Ioane carried strongly but we did not create the space and flow.
I thought our forwards played well individually. Both hookers were immense and our locks tackled strongly and Brodie ran hard. Cane was immense around the contact area.
But we really need to show more attacking vision in my view. Something not right in the communications out back and that is our big work on in my view. And please put Rieko on the wing. He is a finisher and not a creator or defensive organiser.
Well played France. Their halves were so dominant. -

Please don't put those photos in this thread.
I see pictures like this and it is so tempting to make Dr Who Sontaran comments. And I don't want to sound nasty... -

Bloody great test, French deserved to win, they had our pack struggling, and DuPont was immense !
Shrewd move though fellas, when was last time we lost 3 tests in a year and 2 in a row?
2009 and we won WC 2 years later , have we set it up??I went back and checked that 2009 team. This quote struck me as funny:
- while there is no specialist No 8 from any of the Super 14 sides named in the squad, the selectors are confident that Liam Messam has the skill set and experience to play in this position. They also feel that Kieran Read is another to have the skill set to play at No 8.

We don't have McCaw, Carter, Nonu, Snakey, Ted, Smith (I can go on)
It's not that I disagree with your point, but I wonder whether we have structural issues that might make this the new normal.
it could be a symptom of Covid as well.
I'm not sure how to separate out the different influences, but I think we should recognize that there is a cattle quality aspect to it, which wasn't necessarily the problem in 2009.

@nostrildamus I am trying to figure how I was associated with Foster? Definitely not on my Christmas list.

Barnes comes across very unlikable to me but he refereed the game very well and consistent.
Turning point was the great run from own tryline by the French, ABs had their tails up from the beginning of the 2nd half up until then. I'm sure they would have won, had they scored there. Well done to the Frogs, though. -

One bad year when we lose 3 games and all of sudden the structures we have that have been so successful for so long are defective.?
Therein may lie the problem - the structures may no longer be free of considerable defects.
There seems a real lack of players who can keep their cool under pressure at Test level. Mo'unga and Havili may look like a million dollars at SR level but really, really struggle under pressure at Test level - as we have seen tonite and in other matches. Ball handling skills in the tight 5 seem to have dropped away as well.
But one year of mediocre results is not enough evidence to support the hypothesis. We are at the end of a long year, been away on a tour since god knows how long (since the 3rd Bledisloe in Perth) . In that tour we lost 3 times, and won 7.
No team in any sport can win every game every year every time.
The Green Bay Packers have the highest winning percentage in all games since 1921. Their win rate is 0.573.

Some good analysis from Goldie. He does not look happy.

Feel a lot better after second half. ABs much the better side in the period.
I’d say Barnes was worth ten points to French.
Post mortem due on first half where we were flat and error prone.
Off the cuff, I’d say we erred by not hammering up the guts before trying to spread it wide.
It’s almost as though the players took matters into their own hands after halftime.
Not sure about back substitutions. Thought Tuapea/Ioane looked good.
And Bridge was solid!!!! -
