Then the little forward pass with the try begging. So frustrating.

Should've taken the scrum at 68 minutes. Needed to try to get a try in a rare visit to the 22. Didn't back themselves when they were looking good.

Man, those exits. Like watching a bad Blues or Auckland team.

Havili won't be missed. A lot of mistakes in this game.

@tim he has been wildly inconsistent this season, some great stuff then looks out of his depth.

Samisoni should get bench spot or start next week, probably the find (if you can call him that) of the season.

Yeah, he plays a genuinely good game about one in three starts. It's been the same for about three or four years now. Not up to it.

Still want Foster? Ireland were immense but what a fucking debacle. Clueless and shit.

And btw it doesn't freaking matter who we have at 10. With these clowns and tactics its lateral bullshit regardless.

Easy to say after the fact (and someone might've already), but I really felt Taukei'aho should have been involved in some capacity. His ball-running and accurate lineout throwing would've been useful in a tight gam e like this.

Restarts have been shoddy at times this year, lineouts have been bad. Our scrum isn't dominant as it once was (to be fair, I don't think Franks was ever that dominant - not like Hayman). And our basic skills seem to fall apart under pressure - not an easy fix!

a fair few said that before the game.

Hooker suddenly has some depth; lock not so much. At 12, the cupboard is just bare.

That ship has sailed, he is there through to 2023 RWC.

@Tim just reading some of the stats, 50 tackles by our starting loosies, 42 by Blackadder and Dalton.

Retallick shouldn't have come straight back into the ABs. He should have demonstrated he still had it in the NPC. Buggered off for two years then handed a jersey on little basis. Has been weak this year.

Unfortunately the Irish dominated the contact area. Momentum wasn’t stopped and the ball wasn’t slowed down. They made easy metres through the tackle & clean out and the resulting quick ball kept us on the back foot

Yup. Static defense (except for TJ) from us didn't help, either. And if it wasn't static we were giving away penalties

Wow, that is how you play rugby, Ireland take a bow, that was a pleasure to watch. That blueprint it how we should be playing the game.

Certainly controlled their possession in a way we couldn't

A feature of our opposition for the past few years with us struggling to impose our game on them we are forced to play thier game and usually catch up.

I think we have the cattle, sure some are on thier last legs, but I think it comes down to how we are playing.

We are far too reactive and passive, little creativity and rarely do we dominate most aspects of the game anymore.

We certainly don't own the final quarter like we used to.

I feel like this has been a problem for some time, the fact we couldn't exit our territory consistently is a major issue.

Just watched. Well done Ireland. Tough with a pedantic ref team though.
Observations: Reiko is not worth persevering with as a centre as smarts and timing are amiss and his use of his speed is reduced. Our front rowers are lacking in skills and smarts. Laulala was ponderous today and Taylor was well below his best. Coles and ST for France please. Loss of Beauden was critical as Mounga does not control as well in an attritional game. The high workrate of the wingers Retallick and Papalii kept us in the game longer than we deserved to be. The absence of Aaron Smith is huge as the AB's attack is nowhere near as threatening.
Well done Keenan Lowe and that Irish pack.

The constant fuck up here is the Coaching staff.
We have virtually the whole squad of 40 play in the last 2 games v Italy and Ireland and we have played shit in both.

So if it’s the players fault we drop the whole 40 and start again and if they are all shit, who had a big hand in selecting them Foster who is head coach and we keep losing to teams who play the same way against us over and over again, and can’t work out how to win against them.
I know who I see as the major problem.

Edit .Same sort of deal with Foster time as coach of the Chiefs so it’s not a new thing with Foster being poor.
