    Foster P5 W2 D1 L2 Winning percentage 40%

Is that better or worse than his record with the Chiefs?

I know that everyone is climbing into Foster. The cracks were there at the World Cup. They need a rethink. We have to find a way to win the contact and that means different players.

Because Foster was there for the WC rot and has just carried on the mistakes. Ardie at 8 for example.

@Kirwan Ardie is the wrong number 8 for any team that matches us. Hoskins should start now. We have lots of 6s just need to pick the best.

IMO Ardie actually played quite well. He definitely wasn't the worst player out there and had a lot of energy for the final try. He just didn't offer what we needed tonight.

He played well...but he played like a 7...so we had one tackling 7 and one running 7...and were missing an 8

@hydro11 this is classic Hoopcock thinking. They were both the best flankers around and both left it all out there but it never ever fucking worked post 2015.

@hydro11 You can never doubt his intensity but he like the rest of our forwards were monstered.

@hydro11 always starts with winning contact.

Loose forwards got monstered in the first half.

It's amazing how we could see that Frizell and to a lesser extent Ardie don't have the required physically for test rugby, yet Foster, Plumtree and co can't.

It's not as simple as putting Sotutu in for Ardie though. Ultimately it comes down to how the coach wants the team to play and the instructions they give.

    Ahem..

I've had problems with Akira's attitude in the past, but he played OK last week and I liked his attitude when he took one for the team when he was taken off early.

    Def. deserves another chance.

People were complaining about mythical Bok and England concerns, but this was what we were worried about. A physical side making few mistakes.

Would love to know what they were for today's game because fuck me that was some of the dumbest rugby I have seen in a long time.

That game made all of the worst fears about the Foster era come true. He won't make it to the next world cup. Shit he'll be lucky to make it until the end of the RC next year. That looked like a team that was poorly coached and poorly prepared.

It's been on the cards for years (and screamed from the rooftops here at TSF) that we need to up the physicality because the game is changing. But due to arrogance or hubris or both, the brains trust seem to be blind to that fact. They need to get wise fast or the next few years are going to make 98 look like the golden era.
