2003 - Deans. Didn't select Tana.

2003 was fucking Carlos' fault. Leon wasn't even supposed to playing, let alone doing the goalkicking. BUT...
Who injured Tana? Carlos!
Who was supposed to do the kicking but turned out to be a worse goalkicker than me? Carlos!
Who threw a wild cut out pass to Mortlock?.....
Is fault, Carlos!
I think the manner in which Mortlock utterly and ruthlessly made Macdonald his bitch is why Macdonald gets so much shit. It was ugly. He should never have been playing there.

1995 was Goldie's fault as well!! you fucking hater!!!
Fine, Piri Weepu nearly fucked 2011 for us!! And Kaino never deserved player of the year.
Uh oh, you've gone off the reservation now.
your typo caused it.
Look, it may surprise you that I'm no fan of the Crusaders, but if you're going to single out Leon MacDonald then the same must be done for other matches. Now, it's not Goldies fault he was playing 15 that day, but he was hopelessly out of position that day on many occasions, you could see it live at the ground and you could see it on the very painfully watched replay.
I stand by my comment.
Class right wing though.
you added his name to 1995 in your edit. So you obviously blame him for having food poisoning. No end to your hate.
There are a lot of people who need to take the blame for 99, but yea, Goldie is certainly one. Actually, that might be @MN5 's most accurate post on rugby ever. Pretty much everyone who isn't Jonah.
More than likely. I remember that game better than the one vs Ireland just a few days ago. Definitely early stage dementia or alzheimers
I just remember that ridiculous grey haired winger who only weighed as much as Jonah's prick. Fucking hell that was a dark day in NZ rugby.
Christophe Dominici. Fuck you guys for making me remember that
Actually Phillipe Bernartte Salles ( excuse the spelling ).
Garbajosa the fullback did an awesome revolving door impersonation too.
Garbajosa, what an crap name. All these arse holes had crap names. I remember N'temack in 94. What kind of stupid farking name is that?
I liked him as a player. Always scary when he had the ball.

Did he?
I mainly recall the Australians charging unimpeded through the first five's channel!

And Mitchell staffing the forward pack with polite white guys + Jerry, and asking Jerry to do all the heavy lifting.
Combine that with the midfield? No wonder we were fucked

Not to mention telling them not to ruck as well - and then letting the media and our opponents know that as well.

You were probably partly blind due to excessive Macdonald induced wanks.
In all seriousness, I recall him using both of them as a turnstile. I also remember poor McCaw doing everything to cut down that threat.

Who set up the only try the ABs scored in the semi final? Carlos.

Jesus - how have we got to this depressing topic.
On the plus side, that was really the last hurrah of the Australians' golden era.
Score since then at a rough count is 36-7, with two draws!
This is going to turn in to a week where we finally unload all the demons that have been haunting us all these years. The Fern and the ABs, freshening up for a renewed assault on 2019
The only reason we didn't win 2007 was the bullshit citing/suspension of Lauaki that was rightly tipped over, but too late to bring him in to the side. He plays that quarter, we win.

Based on this display?

@antipodean I don't need to watch that video, i remember it well.
But that was 08 wasn't it?
2007 at the World Cup he was playing bloody well, and was still a weapon off the bench. We wanted to play him, but couldn't (even the coaches admitted it), and bringing his game off the bench would have helped enormously.

We scored two tries but only one was allowed. Just before the intercept:
again, I'm not watching that, but from memory that was a fucking try, all fucking day!! That's given and we win by 20
-
i just watched it. How was that not given??

@chris-b ah yes Reuben Thorne...he comes into the Canterbury coaching team and nek minit they lose a final....
To be fair, they probably would have won if they'd just had Joe Moody....
Take that, Hansen!!! Karma's a bitch - she's pulling Aura's hair!
-
@mariner4life Ben Blair learns and gets that!

if you are even remotely suggesting that Blair is picked over AB legend Mils Muliaina then you and I can no longer converse.
