If that's the correct team, then I like it a lot. Only changes I would have made would be ALB for Crotty and Coltman for Harris. It's clear that Goodhue is now our no1 centre.

Not much to argue about, except ALB missing out. I guess they plan to see how Goodhue works with SBW then Crotty?

Mo'unga will get his chance in the last 30 against strong opposition away. It's a good selection.

I'm looking forward to this game in a way I haven't for quite some time. That's a very good team we've picked.

If that's the team @mariner4life's toys will not stay in the cot long.

Only 2 Barretts so that will calm him a bit. Probably 2 too many for him though.

Actually, just on SB, I was ready to write him off last year but he's been excellent in 2018. Really stepped up and become a genuine test lock. Obviously he's no BBBR, but who is?

Goodhue makes me all warm and fuzzy inside.

It was inevitable he'd be an ab when he started playing for Canterbury. Some players have Allblack written all over him. He certainly did.

Now to reunite him with Jordie at 12......

    22 Richie Mo’unga (3)
    23 Ryan Crotty (40)

I like this selection. The only thing I would change - with availability of players in mind - is Crotty at 12 instead of SBW, but that may happen in the second half.

We'll get to the ALB-Goodhue combo eventually.

I'm hoping the Boks bring their A game and are physical. That will test the likes of Frizell.

@bones This week it's just injuries. But we've had other reasons this year: birth of a child, death in the family ...

I guess it’s only the Boks, although we will end the game with our best 10 and 12.

Oh I get it now - you're not saying you'd choose someone else instead of Crotty to replace SBW, just other positions.

I'm keen as mustard to see that midfield combo. Crotty has been a bit underwhelming in his limited minutes.

@bones You obviously missed the episode of 1014 Rugby where they illustrated how important he is to the ABs defence in the games he plays. He does the crucial work that often goes unnoticed.

@stargazer oh obviously because there could be no other reason. I reckon @ACT-Crusader could name a team to make you happy.

@bones I don't even understand what you're saying here, but that's fine. I'm sure it wasn't meant as a friendly comment. Nothing new.

Because the AB defence was so good the last time Crotty started at 12 vs the Boks....
