@chris-b At this stage I wouldn't be surprised if Hansen started mentioning Frizell at 10 - he's the golden child, young Toeava x 1000.

I thought you hated hammy over actors? You're the only one making a big fuss and sounding like you're a wronged NH rugby writer while you're doing so.

@act-crusader at last the puzzle is solved as to why Todd isn't starting! I would've preferred he started and probably Jordie started if we need a token.

@mariner4life That one against Munster was pretty awful.

That was Scott Waldrom's only game ever for the ABs and Messam's second ever match, so he was still "headless chook" Messam. I think I'd take this week's combo over that one.

The Gibbes, Holah, Rush one was pretty earnest, but low on talent - Holah redeems it. I think it was the last time Gibbes or Rush played for the ABs.

As I recall, Gibbes didn't turn up! 🙂

Did the two Sams ( Broomhall and Harding ) ever play a test together?

If so that combo wins hands down

Hey, I said earlier this month I was going to reverse Knight in Shining Armour this - I'm a man of my word.

    @taniwharugby

Makes sense to blood Goodhue with the more experienced midfielder.
Just hope SBW doesn't do anything silly and Goodhue gets a smooth-ish 1st test.

I hope the Dunedin crowd gives Fall heaps, every time he goes near the ball, on Saturday. Just because of all the whining coming from the French but mainly because he is playing and BB isn't.

I don't think that's any fault of Fall's is it though (the fact he's had the card rescinded)?

I'd much prefer they lay into Antonio, what a dick.

@mn5 No Sam Harding played against Fiji and Sam Brromhall was selected for the tri-nations onwards.

I’m a little concerned about our midfield as both are coming in cold and haven’t played a test match together. Both are class players but it’s not easy just starting out in a midfield

@bones OK fair enough give them all heaps. I hope the crowd is very loud in support for the AB's. Forget the DJ nonsense and the mexican waves.

    Really?

That would be pretty munterish feral behaviour.

I'd expect that in Christchurch to be fair

Nah we don’t bother at test matches, we save that for when we play Auckland...

@mn5 I just think he has got off lightly, IMO he shouldn't be playing this weekend due to being banded for a number of weeks.

I think this team is the worst I have seen, as a team (rather than the worst performance): http://en.espn.co.uk/newzealandtour/rugby/match/22726.html

Not bagging the players or selectors, because there were a lot of injuries and we gave some guys a rest. The result was a lot of good players badly out of position (Ellis, Zinzan) or in terrible form (Tuigamala).

Rather like this coming game, actually.

@kiwiinmelb totally agree. I'm not a fan of our selections but I hope we F@&£Ing bury them. We get a yellow they don't and we still wipe the floor with them.
