Fuck I'm lost - have discarded about 12 posts because I'm so dissatisfied with it all.
But basically @M4L said it all:
So the old adage of " there's no point whinging, the ref isn't going to change his mind" no longer holds true?
I'm fucking seething. That was unprecedented, and not only that, wrong. To use a replay to change your mind on a penalty is bad enough, but to compound it by getting the decision wrong is unfathomable.
I've only just calmed down.
Unbelievable call, the only answer is the ref is on the take.
Investigation required immediately.

@mariner4life yeah it is frustrating alright, try to teach kids the ref is right even when wrong, add in the number of BI players that were at the ref quite alot of the game too, WR needs to stamp that shit out, this aint soccER
There was one point after a scrum where Murray wandered off to the touchline to have a whinge at the AR. Then Marshall said "that's good from Murray". WTF? Since whem has whinging at the ref become a good tactical ploy in rugby? There's already enough heat on them, I thought the directive was that only the captain can question the ref, I'd like to see that enforced. That's not having a go at the Lions, both teams were guilty of it.
At about 78mins in this test....

@Gunner He wasn't "great" mate
He was pretty damn good for most of the first half. A little anonymous in the second when the Lions slowed it down
You lose a fair fucken bit of kudos when you fail to catch the most important pass of the first 10 minutes, Boo.
We score then and the week's "arroganting" looks odds on
Can't sympathise that shit from a 50 test AB looking to revive a career
-
My Aus mates usually wind me up after every ab loss (I know this was a draw but might as well be a loss), but they're flabbergasted by what just went down.
I mean you can bang on about execution, errors etc etc. but fark that was just off the scale incompetence. Holy shit.

Oh dear.... one dropped pass doesn't make a game.
He played well, move on.

We've got a problem with our goal kicking, and the play of our 10 in running the game. It's a serious fucking problem, because Barrett is the best 10 we have in Super rugby, but he really struggled in this series. Like, fuck me gently, some people were looking for a Carter 2005 from him. How fucking far away from that level of play has he been? IMO, we would have easily won that game tonight with Carter - in current form - playing and taking the kicks. That's fucking worrying.
Agree 100%. Let's see where Beauden goes from here, but this HAS to end Hansen's indifference to our goal kicking. He has openly chastised media who've asked him about Beauden's kicking (or lack of it for the Canes). If you want to crap on about structure and culture and dedication Beauden has to learn how to goal kick - simple.
I find this whole thing strange. I find people saying we lost the last two weeks because of Beauden Barrett's goal kicking? When the Lions/England lose how come people rarely say it was because Farrell didn't score enough brilliant tries? Barrett missed two kicks today - one from out in front and one from out wide. We know there are better goal kickers in the world. However, even if Barrett got both those kicks it would only be an extra five points. We blew plenty of five pointers out there. Kieran Read gave away a needless penalty and that cost us three points as well.
I think it's just a psychological thing. Someone lines up a shot at goal so you expect it to go over (because it generally does). When they miss those are stored away as points lost.

One positive: J Barrett. Well done son.
There were plenty of positives. The sky is not falling.
Yep, I agree. Lions series are awesome - even though I'm fucking seething about that final call, I think that playing against this level of opposition is invaluable.
We've seen the future in a number of positions, which is really nice. I think Laumape has a future, as does J Barrett. Both were called on a little early, but responded well. The problem is whether J Barrett is going to become a long term 15. If so, he's a good B Smith replacement and can kick goals, which we fucking need.
I think ALB has regressed a bit though - his defense at 13 can be a bit ropey, but he's also the future, and is young. So, looking to 2019, we are in good shape.

Yeah fair enough, it's not like he look rattled or lost the ball in contact after squandering a try eh?
I fucken love Jules, but tonight there's not a lot of scope for being the matchwinner he's capable of being

And Warren - starts well in his interview, and then turns into full cock. Fuck you Warren, you've just guaranteed you'll never be wearing a Silver Fern again.
Please explain?
Right, so a few beers in after that game, and no breakfast, so explanation could be cryptic...
But he's doing a normal interview, answering things politically as per his job,
Gets his first obvious "troll" question - asking about that penalty at the end. He starts off with "Well, Read played our guy in the air first anyway, so..."
There was something else afterwards, but the above is what prompted my comment. -
What annoys me the most is that the NH players will not doubt themselves anymore when they play us in the future. If we had been clinical and had put them away comfortably tonight, at least they would have gone away thinking that they only won a test due to the Abs being 14 men down. And the worst part is in both tests, they came back from a deficit and clawed their way back.

I'm unhappy with that decision however it should never have come to that. We can only blame ourselves. Credit to the Lions for their D and good goal kickers.
See this is the sort of arrogance I can't stand. Expecting the All Blacks to be up and have "put the game away". They're not robots. They make errors.
Well considering they have been putting teams away for years I don't see why it's arrogant to think they should be capable of doing it again.
But it's not the same AB team and we were playing a far more talented Lions outfit with class players. So not sure what the past has to do with it.

Yes.
Hoping this aspect rubs off with Wales.

Is the world of rugby improved if Poite deems:
"Penalty against Liam Williams for "simulating" into Israel Dagg"
or
"Black number 6 made contact to the head but it looks as accidental as Sean O'Brien' contact in a highly publicized incident this week, so play on"
??

From what I've seen in June and July, only the Saffas will give you a game in the Championship
