And rightly so, looking at the current standing pre France, Sititi should be the only possible contender this year.

Wallace Sititi would probably be up for POTY if he weren't in his first season.
Cortez Ratima probably should've been nominated for Breakthrough POTY too. Definitely a better shout than Jamie Osborne (who was good in July but has only played four games this year). SFM is lucky to make the list given he isn't playing in November (but he was probably the front runner after the Rugby Championship so I'm more forgiving on that front). Alfred Molina from Argentina, Isaiah Armstrong-Ravula from Fiji and Chandler Cunningham-South have also been there or thereabouts but tough when there's only room for four names.

Out of the four contenders for PotY, two I agree with, but my vote would go to PSDT over Kolbe. I don't know who the Irish lad is.
Sititi for breakthrough should be a walk up start. Can't think of any other debtant with his impact.

It's quite interesting looking at that list: no love for the consistently excellent Lomax, while quite a few votes for guys who have been largely disappointing.
Props don't get PotY, ZERO nominations in the entire time out of 124 or so
I know you are talking about out votes, but still
-
Surprised Valentini hasn't been nominated for POTY, he's been immense despite what goes on around him.

Laidlaw has to wait decades to be nominated alongside two chicks who have been playing for five minutes.

Congratulations to Tyrell Lomax, Damian McKenzie and Will Jordan on being named to World Rugby's Men Dream XV of 2024:
A mix of the obvious, arguable and laughable.

And PSDT is rightly given the top award. What a fucking player!
One of the times it's gone to the right player. Well deserved.

Well Kennedy at 170 at least played in the 90s, 167, 168 and 169 only played this century to beat him in.

Poor old Dave Gallaher had to wait 100 years...
