@Bones Michael Little is a good counter-example to the idea that the best players are signed into Super Rugby squads. He was much better than many midfield players in NZ squads (especially at the Blues), but had to go to Japan to get a full contract.
With Little it was a poor Blues organisation missing out, perhaps McClutchie has missed out at the Highlanders due to their pretty average coaches?
Considering we have an excellent first five (All Black) and a very good backup, I don't think we missed out. He would have been lucky to get game time.
TBH, I don't think HB fans were expecting him to go to the Highlanders, and we have few issues with Otago and the Highlanders, they're generally always happy to have players from our region.
Nope all good here. You're not using a Huawei are you?
Side note:What's people's beef with huawei phones???
Owned by the Chinese government and the suspicion is they are collecting data for them. No proof has been released, but as so many other countries are going along with it the presumption is evidence is being shared behind closed doors.
It's criminal for a WC final venue too, in my opinion. I guess the Olympic stadium wouldn't have been much better though. Regular old Prince Chichibu ground is my second favorite ground to watch footy, but like Waikato it's just too small for huge crowds, so not appropriate apparently. I still think they should have figured out a way of using it.
Not sure Barnes is that much better than in 2007. That France v Wales match in the 6 Nations this year lasted 100 minutes because - though possibly legally correct - he was afraid to award the French a penalty try despite repeated Welsh scrum infringements. It was a shambles.
