    Has this been posted yet?

Bit disappointing to see Kafer behaving like such a tool otherwise is so pitiful its hilarious.

This interview with Kafe was quite interesting too

Haha THAT is the example they use to show the ABs have a lack of humility? Pathetic.
Im loving the tears from the Wallabies and their supporters/media. It shows they are in deep shit and have no idea how to get out of it. Im hoping the Boks can add to their misery this weekend.

How weak would you have to be to take offence to the comments from Cane and Retallick? Love the clip of Retallick holding two of the wimps in yellow back at arms length.

    Jesus H Christ.

That's what's passing for rugby analysis in Australia now?

    Sad, just sad.

Kafer says "no doubt they [Wallabies] had a plan"

Without wanting to sound like I lack humility, but that is rubbish. I saw no plan from the Wallabies. Attack still sucked. Defensive alignment still slow to get in position.

Since the England series Kafer has been getting a little more shirty with his comments. He's a good commentator/analyst but now he's going down that well travelled trap that many a commentator has fallen into of wanting to be more than that. Expressing their faux outrage when there's nothing to see. Calling for laws to change, blaming refs/judiciaries/citing commissioners/hakas/mascots etc for poor results.

Rodney, if you're out there lurking, rise above the muck of where Kearns and Marto reside. Your Canberra Grammar education would've taught you a thing or two about when to shut up and focus on what's real and what's not. Yes a good rivalry with the All Blacks can help the game, but that comes because of competitive stuff on the field, not some beat up story that takes 5 minutes of your show.

All in my humble opinion of course.....

It's not just the morons on Fox. You should have been on GNGR a few days ago, they were bleating like petulant school children over Cane and Retallick's comments.Couldn't believe what I was reading.

Kafer is noticeably quiet in criticism of his ex teammate and good friend Steve Larkham, as I understand it
Kafer was quite influential in Larkham getting to where he is today in the coaching world....

Thats pretty disappointing, and honestly weird from Kafer. I see no problems with Cane & Retallicks points and wouldn't have a problem with the opposition saying it against us.

That is really bizarre. Obviously not from Maaaaaaaaaaaaardddooo. That dickhead has form. But Kafer isn't usually like that.

What exactly was it that they said wrong or should have said?

"No I don't think their tactics were niggly and aggressive and they actually played really well and really smart rugby."

If they'd done that they would have been hammered for taking the piss or something.

This shit is taking a turn for the surreal.

Exactly, as soon as I saw the stupid niggle I already knew we had won (and I had predicted they would play in a style to keep the score closer to claim a moral victory - which Chieka did (14 points closer Wheee!))

Too many brackets in this post.

Throughout the super rugby season the show that Marto and Kaffer host has gone out of its way to praise NZ teams. It was a definite change in style to previous years.

In the last few weeks they have gone from overly positive to extremely negative. I suspect its ratings driven.
Those guys have to be cheerleaders for Australian rugby.. crowded market blah blah.. and it must be hard getting viewers in Australia when their team is genuinely bad.

What would a casual Aussie rugby fan want to hear? How good we are or how evil we are?

I doubt either of the hosts really believe it

Do Australians actually think the world doesn't scoff when they pontificate about winning graciously.

FFS it's like the yanks dispensing advice about eating properly

I hear this old chestnut too many times. It's all for ratings huh?

Nothing to do with the realisation that the game is dwindling, most of Aus rugby seems to be lashing out at everything except themselves, their teams and their structures, so why not address those issues candidly? There's enough content on our Fixing Wallabies thread to fill a show

How's this divisive strategy working at gaining new followers?

And what sort of fans are you going to get appealing to that demographic?

I'm sure it does help ratings. Lots of kiwis over there and a portion of them get all worked up by this silliness

Yeah, for 20 long years all we ever heard from the Aussies and everyone else was about us choking when it really mattered, and now the hypocrites want to pick up on some harmless comments made by Cane and Retallick. And for Marto to go on about it is a bit rich, considering he spent most of his time as a commentator complaining about Richie being offside.
