Sio Tompkinson gone for 6 weeks

Can't argue with that. Then again, I'm a sensible Otago supporter who has the greater game at the forefront of my mind.

i think a lot of us are a bit sick of his shit, he doesn't create enough for even the most ardent one eyed supporter to overlook the repeated brain farts at best and straight out thuggery at worst
straight up replacement at 12, thats a better run than ive seen from Sio all year

NZ's no.1 provincial rugby fan...

@taniwharugby I am sure there are a few "super fans" from each province but anyone from Northland or Southland has a fair bit of travel to do. There is that guy with the flag from Taranaki but he might be mainly home games.
I've been to a fair few rugby grounds around NZ over the years but not with this level of dedication.

@Bovidae hope Taranaki wins the shield. When Canterbury won it Like Whitelock didn't look to happy about, kinda pisses you off when you see the captain with no passion for winning the shield.
I'd forgotten all about that. I think I complained about the lack of passion at the time. I don't feel as bad about having lost it now.

No one can compete with Ben Franks utter disgust at winning the Shield for the Magpies back when the Canes made him FIFO. That's him in the back right with hands on hips.
In all honesty, I expect that the players are happy to win - I think Luke Whitelock was born with resting old man face which doesn't lead itself to joy.

@Stargazer yep ABs going into camp in Whakatane. ABs won't be playing next weekend.
The camp is only Mon to Wed so I guess availability will depend on whether Foster and co release all of the squad to play or if the M10 Cup coaches select them without training with their provinces for most of the week. Foster did say not to expect all the ABs to be playing M10 from week 3. More likely some players will continue to play while others are rested.
