@Bones My point is if there's no competitive international fixtures (as rugby league was for a long time) then a record run surely isn't difficult to achieve?

@nzzp At their level, it is comparable to what the ABs did.

Not really. Cyprus were in a division they were too good for.

The All Blacks can't go up a division.

    @Frye
They actually started from the very bottom, Azerbaidjan is still probably there at the bottom and don't really know what Monaco is up to.

So basically they couldn't just sign up for a division suited for them and thus had to win 23 on the trot to find it 😂

I wonder if Cyprus has an online forum dedicated to Rugby with everyone crossing their fingers that these flash professional rugby players aren't gonna break their record?

Only tier 1 nation supporters waste their time talking nonsense....

I must say the Cyprus Facebook rugby page isn't the worst going around

Pointing out how much easier it is for professionals who don't have to train after work, beg for time off to play etc.

It's kinda funny to see how much the (awkward) existence of Cyprus' test record is grinding the gears of some New Zealand fans.

Something tells me that if New Zealand get to 25 test wins - and the odds are shortening on that by the week - there'll be plenty of further hoopla of having reached that number and surpassing the record.

Wyatt Crockett - better than Cyprus!

Unbroken 43 consecutive test wins for Wyatt - a man with impeccable timing. 🙂

    http://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/rugby/all-blacks/86210690/old-memories-wont-haunt-crockett-as-he-aims-to-add-his-world-record-of-43-consecutive-test-wins

Remarkably he's played 55 tests for 53 wins, one draw, one loss.

New Zealand already has a 24 test win record, just not the All Blacks. Apparently, the Black Ferns had a 24 test winning streak from 2002 to 2009.

Full credit for the way you talk up the Black Ferns at any opportunity. (that was not a sarcastic post, it's great to acknowledge their achievements).

So Ingalund ... Eddie building his legend nicely.

Whilst usually keen to see both sides lose I wouldn't mind Aus not losing when these two play in a couple of weeks.

Anyway we're now tracking them down again: unbeaten for one match.
