14 in a row!

@nzzp At their level, it is comparable to what the ABs did. In absolute terms, indeed, it is not. But I don't see the point in taking anything away from the Cypriot record, considering that beating these countries (which all compete in ENC 2, so 2 levels below the 6 Nations) is probably an achievement for Cyprus that is similar to the All Blacks beating Tier 1 nations.
So after ticking off the Tier 1 win record, I also hope the All Blacks will now go for that overall 24 test win record. Not because one is more meaningful than the other, but because it's nice to have another record on the list to aim for.

If we can get past Cyprus, we'll still only have the Rugby Union record. The record for all international rugby is apparently 30 consecutive wins by the Australian Rugby League team.
If we can get past that, we can shoot for Jehangir Khan's best sporting streak of 555 consecutive squash match victories (ended by New Zealand's Ross Norman).

Jeezus! The Roos went 30 wins in a row? I actually find this hard to believe, especially given how infrequent league tests are and were. That could cover 20 odd years back in the day. Or more.
I suspect this record may be about the 82 to 86 team? And include the non-test tour matches?
Of course I could look it up, but nah.

@Chris-B. Kangaroos? Why not a hurling International record too ffs?
I would suggest that Kerry have a better winning percentage in the final than us in RWC grand finals.

@antipodean I was being facetious!

Not really. Cyprus were in a division they were too good for.
The All Blacks can't go up a division.
-
@Frye
They actually started from the very bottom, Azerbaidjan is still probably there at the bottom and don't really know what Monaco is up to.So basically they couldn't just sign up for a division suited for them and thus had to win 23 on the trot to find it 😂

I wonder if Cyprus has an online forum dedicated to Rugby with everyone crossing their fingers that these flash professional rugby players aren't gonna break their record?
Only tier 1 nation supporters waste their time talking nonsense....
I must say the Cyprus Facebook rugby page isn't the worst going around

Pointing out how much easier it is for professionals who don't have to train after work, beg for time off to play etc.

It's kinda funny to see how much the (awkward) existence of Cyprus' test record is grinding the gears of some New Zealand fans.
Something tells me that if New Zealand get to 25 test wins - and the odds are shortening on that by the week - there'll be plenty of further hoopla of having reached that number and surpassing the record.
