Italy v All Blacks

It's been such an odd season. Generally the Fern is known for awful analysis and incorrect conclusions but this year the Fern has seen the obvious problems with game plan and selection a mile away, and those concerns have materialised basically every time. It's been like watching someone that knows nothing about test rugby make obvious mistakes over and over again. We knew it was going to be a steep learning curve for Razor but I didn't expect it to be this steep, with so little learnt along the way.

What a shitshow. There can be no pretence they're any better than the team that were robbed at last years RWC.

You really have moved to the dark side. A shame, I think Padmé Amidala is single again after a recent divorce.

That should mark the sunset on a few of the players.
Thanks for the service lads, time to pass the baton.
Scott Barrett, and the midfield should be nervous. Havilli shouldn't be in the squad at all. And the wings need pace. And the restarts are terrible. Etc etc etc

At the end of the day, this test means nothing, and regardless of what happens from here, is one nobody will remember. Lest we forget last time we played Italy in Italy, it was also a shitfest.
I think this was probably partly down to the fact a bunch of old guys didn't really fancy playing properly after a long tour in zero degrees temperatures.
This isn't exactly on the coach, because he wasn't the one kicking the ball, dropping it, failing to clear rucks etc. Italy clearly wanted it to be fair to them, but that was horrific. Plenty of time to reflect on this season, but I will say making sweeping statements on this game alone is a little silly.

Not a great watch but want to pay respect to Sam Cane and TJ Perenara for their time in the black jersey

Your IDS is turning into a full fledged mental disease. The pass was prefect and Tele'a fumbled a simple pass putting him in space.
I thought it was a forward pass, went back, still do. Tho the angle was poor so I could be wrong

Sure, if we ignore he selected and coached them.

I always chuckle at statements like this.
If the performance of the team isn't on the coach then what is he there for? Vibes?

Overall for the tour:
Razor picked players out of form, burnt out, or recently injured.
There were plenty of younger and fresher caps and inform players who could have been tested.
I am trying to think of a newbie found wanting at this level and all I can think of is Finau, and he still showed some glimpses. -

It is not all his fault though is it.
I think this is a good lesson to Razor, that at the end of a long tour, a long season (our longest ever?) when you are about to play in zero degree temperatures, picking the old guys who can't wait to get back to their families isn't the play.
The key, and we will talk about this at length, is that Robertson learns from this season, and the evidence of his coaching career is that he will. Writing him off after a year is silly, asking for him to be sacked is silly. Lets review things at the end of next year.

Bundaberg ‘moment of the match’ being when Sam Cane left the field says it all

Absolute masterclass from Razor and the AB's today. They have emulated the Crusaders winning approach totally. Absorb lots of goalline pressure, concede cards where needed to save worse, and use their weapon of scrum ming for penalties to the absolute max. Stunning!
Gee haven't Italy improved from conceding 96 points to Fozzie's rabble last year.
In fact it was such a complete performance, I might look for something more flawed to watch next year, like NRL. -

In may ways you're right.
There's been so many shit-fests like this recently, people have problems remembering them all

The forwards have been good all year, but definitely could have done with some fresh blood at 10 and 12... for whatever people think of DMac he isn't fresh blood. Could they have gone Lam? Obviously, whether he is the answer they won't know until they give them a go.
There should be plenty to play for in the Super season.
