Oh no, not the white jerseys again. They’re like kryptonite, draining the power of the blackness. And don’t France know that? We used to play them all the time without the need to change strips. Think back to the 1987 WC final. France were in their mid-blue jerseys with the racing stripes down the arms. Then at some point they decided to go the deepest navy blue. Isn’t there a colour coordinating commandant employed by World Rugby to prevent these clashes? How can they be All Blacks if not all in black? It’s a conspiracy I tell you! Although at least they have not reverted to the revolting grey kit they wore in the 2007 QF against the French. The All Greys.
I recall a game the ABs played out of their skins in Marseille back in 2009 when they were in white, a lot of players saw that game as a turning point which eventually lead to the success at the 2011 WC.
Hopefully a similar result in the weekend will be the making of this side as well.
Much better than the game in 2007 when we played in grey

In saying that 2007 was probably a turning point for our coaches

When have we ever played in grey? I think you're imagining things.

@gt12 Sivivatu is the one I remember from that test too. Had the swerve and power game going on.
Interestingly looking at the match review, we barely played our bench that test. 5 of the 7 bench players came on less than 8 minutes to play. Boric and Owen Franks came on with 15 minutes to go and Franks got YC’d with 5 to go.

I bet Groot is pissed he missed that one meeting
What about Procter. Attended every meeting and still can’t get on the bench for this game.

Yes, I saw that game as a catalyst, much like the ABs 2004 games was

Pretty hard to play off the bench from NZ.

At this rate, he will be lost to Nz rugby and it will be all down to Razor snubbing him in this tour

Obviously they rate Rieko and ALB more than Procter at this time.
If he wants to leave because he can’t get over them then that tells a lot, hopefully he is not going to give up that easily.
He has been in NZ for the last two games so that has taken him out of the picture for now. -

Hoping Jase Ryan has a convo with the loose trio that goes something like this:
6 - fold cvnts
7 - steal from cvnts
8 - run between cvnts -

Must be 1st time since 2006 EOYT (Collins, Masoe, Luaki) All Blacks have a non-NZ Euro starting LF trio?
Also, I actually can't ever recall us having an entire forward bench with no NZ Euro guys, is this a first?
I think we've rolled out Ioane/Frizell, Papali'i, Savea at some stage in the last couple of years.
I forgot about Dalton's PI heritage, i'm curious if Ioane/Frizzell, Papali'i, Savea have actually started together, usually it was Cane at 7, then when he got injured Blackadder, Papali'i, Savea was the combo for most of 2021, then Frizzell Cane Savea for 2022-2023

Cane and obviously Blackadder were injured a lot.

Struggling to follow. Is the suggestion that it's Razor's fault Proctor's OH got up the duff?
Juicy.

Not a fan of this selection. McKenzie is far and away the better ten, and Robertson is putting him in a position where he is likely to come on late and have to chase the game - then he's going to have to try things, mistakes will happen, and he will get rubbished as erratic. .
Or, he comes on and plays really well - and the other idiots pipe up with "see, I told you he is best used off the bench"
I’ll happily put my hand up as an idiot because I still think that is where DMac has been at his best.
And yes, all until Mo’unga returns or FABRR makes the squad…..
I'd suggest watching the first half+ of SA #1 again. McKenzie creates about 3 opportunities in the first 5 minutes, and is part of every try except an intercept. Kicks well too.
We lost the game, and everyone forgets the good bits.
