I don't think in this entire show the Breakdown team mentioned a single England player by name. Arrogance, ignorance or both?

I know you have to pump your own car's tyres up but this show is beyond average

It’s a show which is tries to be high on style low on substance.

It’s not a show for serious rugby analysis

For analysis, Aotearoa Rugby Pod is much better. I was just watching earlier, James Parsons in particular is quite insightful. He didn't think we played great vs Japan, wanted to see us be more direct

Yeah, he is really good to listen. I agreed with him but the I wondered if they don’t want to play a more direct style to give England a game to analyse so close to playing them

    Keeping the powder dry?

    England have named their team:

I think they need a few more VCs.

A 6-2 split on the England bench in case you were wondering.

@sparky who believes they are that good?

They aren't as shit as being made out on here, but they aren't amazing either.

we are strong favourites against England. So there's that - now we have to execute

Think most of the starting side picks itself. Big question is who takes the last back position I reckon.
    EDG/Taylor/Lomax
    Barrett/Vaa'i
    Sititi/Savea/Cane
    Ratima/?
    J Barrett/Ioane
    Clarke/?/?

B Barrett and Jordan will take two of those spots, where they play depends on who fills the other spot. Suspect it will be Reece on the right wing, but could easily be Perofeta at 15 or DMac at 10.

    I think
    10 DMac
    14 Jordan
    15 BB

is the strongest we can put out. Moving BB to 10 weakens 10 and 14 (and is short term). Jordan has his failings, but Reece is really struggling in Tests this year

I'd stick with Jordan at 15, he's the future and offers so much more in attack.
McKenzie over Barrett at 10 every day of the week.
And I guess Reece, reluctantly - unless Beauden wants a run there? Better in the air than Reece at least...

Liam Napier suggesting it's Beauden at 10. He is usually on the money with his predictions.

Given that McKenzie played the full 80 against Japan, I suspect Barrett will start at 10. I wouldn't have him in the 23 at all, to be honest.

Likely Jordan at fullback and either Reece or Tele'a on the wing, but Reece has been given a few opportunities and Tele'a agility might win him the start for this match.

Expecting Ratima, Barrett, Clarke, Barrett, Ioane, Tele'a, Jordan with a bench of Perenara, McKenzie, Lienert-Brown.

I actually like the idea of McKenzie off the bench. If used correctly he could really make a big difference.

Unfortunately the other utility back bench role seems to rotate between a guy who never looks good off the bench in ALB and a guy who hasn't been in form in 2 years in Havili.

    @brodean Sorry, I meant I wouldn't have Barrett in the 23.

Perofeta at fullback with Jordan on the right wing is the go for me.
