All Blacks Vs England, Twickenham

England were so military medium it wasn’t funny; they barely threatened the NZ line; were outscored 3 tries to 1; and yet despite being bloody rubbish were cms away from winning that one
Be happy with the win
But don’t be happy with that performance
That’s a pretty accurate assessment,
Now my gut tells me Ireland may be too accurate and clinical for us , unless we have another gear to go to.

Only time I remember seeing him was when he was literally bawling to the ref. Plenty of outstanding England players today. Maro not even in my top 5.
Who tweeted that?
Might be a clue into why the opinion doesn't fit the facts.
@MajorRage I see you covered that in your longer post. #booboo

How the fuck did England lose that?
A poor selection of the bench, backed up by poor use of said poor bench. This loss is on the coaches.
The game was a hard watch I have to say. Though I liked the way Gardner interacted with the players and overall was ok. Thought the double yellow that wasn’t was all a bit confusing. So the initial yellow was rescinded because that piece of play wouldn’t have happened if the first one had been given in real time? Well ok, sort of but the to allow the PK to be taken at either place just seems contradictory..

Watching second half again.
Reserve props smashed English scrum which gave us heaps of momentum. Forward play in general seemed stronger.
Roigard made a big difference. Very quick decision making and he actually moves with the ball off the back of the ruck while making decisions making play more dynamic while Ratima is a touch slower and holds at base of ruck a lot more letting defence set themselves.
Even though BB didn’t have a great game and his kicking is painful, I think Ratima put him under pressure a few times with this slower play.
DM to start for me and BB in last 30 like 2nd Eng test. -
BB plays with Christie and has also played with TJP so should be used to slower ball.
Has anyone noticed our captain pulling the team together and pushing them over the line this season?
-
Ratima for me was suprisingly poor.
B B was BB shit.
Scott Barrett actually did a ton work a lot of tackles and grunt work.
Vaai looked out muscled today.
Patty T was awesome of the bench, Telea much better from him today and Sititi is a brilliant selection by Razor he was Hugh again.
BB,Cane time to move on from these two.
For all you D Mac fan boys brilliant pressure conversion from the sideline.
A win at Twickers is a win only penalties and the intercept from Ratima kept England in the game.
This tight win away may grow this team with some changes.
A lot of people were saying we will not win any of the main 3 games, well we have won one. -

10 is now our only real worry
And complacency.
True
and discipline. And tactics. And bench timing. And loosies. And midfield.
So just a few things... -

England to win by 6+
I should wait until I read the whole thread yet but I'm expecting you to be happy unless you are an English fan.

I'm sorry but that was an awful game by the officials. Gus basically coached them through rucks, tackles etc. He was so inconsitant it was beyond farcicle.
farce-icicle? A chilly farcical kick to the spine?
I like it. -

Wallace Sititi was my player of the day, fuck he’s awesome. Mark Telea had some beautiful touches as well and how about that try.
Beauden isn’t the answer at 10, kick…kick…kick. Jesus Christ, we looked more like England than England at times. Where’s the innovation?
Ouch. Second most painful comment in this thread.

@Jet We were heading for a comfortable win before the Ratima intercept. Then we shut down after that with England (who are 5th in the world) in front of their fans pumped up and full of momentum for the next 20 mins.
And we still brought it back and clutched (reminiscent of the old ABs).
We were comfortably the better team (albeit while playing horrible rugby with BB at 10 directing).
We looked much more dangerous immediately with Roigard/Dmac on and BB/Jordie off.
> My standards are higher than this.
It wasn’t good enough.
This is the worst comment on the thread.
Unless you are an All Black player or coach and actually putting your arse on the line (not a barstool in Madrid) your standards don't matter a damn. -
Just watching the replay now. 9 minutes in, Telea scores in the corner. I actually like our patience despite the lack of forward progress early. As the half progresses, it becomes quickly apparent that BBs kicking game is shite, but of course we knew that. A potpourri of chip and cross kicks, aimless ground kicks and aimless bombs, with the odd good kick.
I don't like us trying all that fancy close quarters passing shit behind the advantage line or as we hit the line. We waste good attacking ball when we more often than not spill the pill
I love the enthusiasm with which the England fans sing a slave's song as if it was their own... 🙄Nice cut after some good ground gains sees Jordan over. The TMO tries to convince Gardner that there is a knock on in order to take away the try, but to his credit he isn't having a bar of it.
30 minutes in, and we still haven't got the hang of not tackling their dummy runners. Come on boys, sharpen up
The first forward receiver loves to pass the ball to BB or someone else out the back before hitting the gain line, how many times do we get over the gain line using this strategy? More often not
We are getting pinged in the scrums, and in a 60 second passage Jordan gets hit behind the gain line after another ill advised pass, Sititi regathers and streaks upfield only to combine with Vaii to squander a great chance at a try through poor pass fundamentals
Right on halftime Vaaii gets pinged for side entry at maul time. I didn't hear him get a warning to get out?
We lacked accuracy too many times, and I don't like that passing behind the line
-
As stated by someone else Roigard put a heap of pressure on the Ford drop kick. Well done.
-
That said, the coaching and the selection this year leaves a lot to be desired. For example, if Blackadder hadn't been injured Sititi might not have been saving our bacon, Tele'a looks far better at 14, Cane is treading water, BB isn't consistently good enough even for the 23 IMO, Jordie hasn't improved or even held form, and our captain seems to be one of the quietest on the field.

We cant play catch up rugby with Ireland.
Our strongest axis 8-9-10-12 at the moment is probably starting Sititi-Roigard-DMac-ALB. It wont happen though. -

I think if the ABs had scored there is a chance the try would have been disallowed anyway. It looked like the ball came off an AB foot to Sititi who was in front.
